The Basics

A major landmark in Barcelona, the cathedral is featured on nearly every sightseeing excursion, from bicycle tours to tapas crawls. Worshipers can enter for free, while there’s a donation requested for cultural visits, as well as for access to the choir and rooftop terraces, which offer one of the best views over medieval Barcelona. Don’t miss a trip down to the crypt to see the tomb of Santa Eulalia and the reliefs depicting her martyrdom.

Barcelona Old Town, The Gothic Quarter Private Tour with Hotel Pickup
Had an amazing tour and tour guide, JC! We really enjoyed having a private tour because we got a lot more flexibility in the the tour. We had time to stop for coffee and food during the tour. We also booked a last minute visit to Monserrat which was amazing! JC was super flexible because we could not do the full day tour for Montserrat but did a modified version for 4 hours. He picked us up from our breakfast spot and dropped us off at our AirBNB. He really tailored the experience to our schedule. Definitely use JC tours Barcelona if you can!

We had 3 hours city tour with Jeronimo who is an excellent guide. We went to the most important places with enough degree of flexibility. Jeronimo showed continous friendliness and professionalism. We enjoyed the tour and we learned a lot. Thanks.

Barcelona Combo: Highlights Barcelona and Montserrat Sightseeing Tour
This was wonderful. Montserrat is not to be missed! The only problem was that this is actually 2 different tours put together so you have to go to the office twice at different times. They should combine it!

Barcelona Combo: Highlights Barcelona and Montserrat Sightseeing Tour
We only had a limited time to spend in Barcelona and enjoyed this tour - a good way for us to see part of the city that we might not have found on our own. We toured on a a Sunday when many places are closed and people might want to take that into account when scheduling. Aaron, our tour guide, knew the area and was also also very helpful with restaurant recommendations.

Barcelona Combo: Highlights Barcelona and Montserrat Sightseeing Tour
We were only able to do the first half of the tour. We enjoyed a brisk walking guided tour and then boarded a bus that drove past the Olympic village and then on to ontjuic. This allowed us to look over the city up in the mountain affording beautiful views. These tours require a LOT of walking. Even though we did not make the second half of tour, it was money well spent. I will book with Viator again. We saved tremendously compared to purchasing from cruiseline.

The Geese of Saint Eulalia

The palm-filled cloister of the Barcelona Cathedral is home to 13 special residents, a flock of geese that have been enjoying the garden and fountains since medieval days. The number of geese is believed to represent the age of Eulalia, the city’s patron saint, at the time she was martyred.
