Practical Info

Belgrade Fortress is a short walk from central Belgrade or the Belgrade train station. To get there using public transportation, take tram 2, bus 31 or trolleys 19, 21, 22, 28, 29 or 41 toKalemegdan Park.

Admission to the grounds is free, and the fortress is open 24 hours. Museums, churches and specific attractions vary by price and opening hours, but you'll find most attractions open between 11am and 7pm.

Since the grounds are huge, it's recommended visiting by guided tour to ensure you see all the highlights. Food, drink and souvenirs are available at one of the many kiosks throughout the fortress grounds.

Bojan was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave a lot of interesting information about Serbia and the site itself. The tour far exceeded my expectations. He knows a lot about the history of the country.

The tour was amazing! Definitely worth it! Milan, the guide, was very kind and he knows alot about the history of Belgarde. The Fortress and its underground parts were amazing! The view on top was great! I definitely recommend this tour! So interesting and so enjoyable! Thank you so much!

The tour guide was great, well informed, pleasant, she had a great command of the English language and was very communicative. I recommend to take the tour upon arriving to Belgrade because it covers a lot of ground and gives a heads up. Bravo.
