Blue Mountains Secret Places Adventure

Blue Mountains Secret Places Adventure

star-5

This will be a full day of exploring destinations not usually seen or experienced by the average visitor to the World Heritage-listed upper Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Yes, you could visit all the usual standard and well worn Blue Mountains crowded tourist destinations but isn’t it more fun to “step off the trail” and explore those little known places that only us locals know about? I'd like you to join me to explore the unknown, to see places that few have seen, to take home memories and tell of experiences that your friends will envy. We will experience awesome vistas, explore amazing caves, walk through cool rain forests, and dine on yummy local food and drink. The goal for the day is to avoid all the usual crowded tourist hot spots and visit some really outstanding secret places. Our day starts at Katoomba and we'll travel as far as Little Hartley, with stops in Medlow Bath, Blackheath, Megalong Valley, Shipley, and Mount Victoria.

Small-Group Full-Day Canyoning and Abseiling Adventure from Katoomba
"We spent a amazing day, the animator (i'm realy realy sorry i forgot your name) who spent the day with us is super nice. Clear explication, he took care of us. We had the chance that everyone except us cancel there tour so we were alown with him. Abseilings was amazing, the hiking too and the canyoning even if is was shorter then expected, was also super great. And i don't talk about the last abseiling in the waterfall... so cool to do. Add to this that we forgot the frontlight of our car all day so we were out of battery at the end of this day and we came back to asked for some help and this animator was glad to help us.Add to this that we forgot the frontlight of our car all day so we were out of battery at the end of this day and we came back and this animator was glad to help us."..."

Blue Mountains Empress Canyon Adventure from Wentworth Falls
"The entire experience was amazing! Our 10 and 13 year old were just old enough to fully enjoy the trip down the canyon. It started with a downhill walk to the base of the canyon, then we put on wetsuits and started walking through the very cold and slippery river, feeling like we were true explorers. Shortly into the walk we had our first jump into a pool, which was certainly invigorating! The jumps weren’t just for fun - they were truly the only way to get through the canyon so we had no choice but to face our fears and go for it! By the time we reached the 90 foot abseil at the end, we were so used to conquering our fears that a 30 meter drop with the waterfall hitting your face and your body bumping against the rock wall somehow seemed like a perfectly normal experience! Our guide Ken was fantastic- supportive, encouraging and with incredible knowledge of the Blue Mountains and environment."..."

Sunset Blue Mountains Wilderness & Wildlife Tour (Without the Crowds)
"Nice trip, a lot of walking (medium trail- so little physical ability required- and comfortable walking shoes (not sandals!). Unfortunately sunset was very short (because of clouds coming down very fast). All in all- superb nature and a candy for photographers"..."
