Hike in a beautiful nature of Krkonose mountains
Czech highest mountain Sněžka (1603 m) is the ultimate hiking experience in the Czech Republic.
You dont need to be extremely fit to get to the top, but you should be used to hiking. We start at roughly 800 meters above the sea level and in 6 km hike we will get to a height of 1600 meters. We will meet lot of kids, dogs and fit seniors on the way. Sněžka is popular place for all generations and every Czech should get there at least once in a lifetime.
Our base point is Pec pod Sněžkou village. We need to climb 3 kilometers through a forest to a mountain restaurant Růžohorky where we will have little break or maybe a lunch as there are not many options to eat in the mountains. And from Růžohorky another 3 km to the top.
The top of the mountain is actually border with Poland so we will cross the Polish border to a Polish side of the mountain. However, then we will get back to a Czech side and after another 6 km we will get back to Pec pod Sněžkou.
