Thapae Stadium
The Basics
You’ll see both young novices and seasoned professionals fight over the course of a single night. In addition to traditional matches, show fights are a fun option—check out blind boxing, where blindfold-wearing participants attempt to knock each other out.
Choose a standard, ring-side, or VIP seat, although the stadium is small and views are good from just about everywhere. Purchase your ticket at the gate, or book online for extra savings. For a hassle-free experience, opt for a ticket package that includes round-trip transfer from your hotel in Chiang Mai.
Things to Know Before You Go
Thapae Stadium is ideal for Muay Thai fans and travelers wanting to experience Thai culture.
Drinks are available for purchase from the stadium’s several bars.
Muay Thai is a violent sport, and not everyone may be comfortable watching.
Free Wi-fi is available.
How to Get There
Thapae Stadium is located on Moon Muang Road, in the old city of Chiang Mai, across from Tha Phae Gate in the East Wall. It’s easy to get there by taxi, tuk tuk, or songthaew—just be sure to negotiate the price ahead of time.
