Easy smooth afternoon
Really fun day out on to Cozumel from the mainland. Our guide met us and took us in a taxi to the marina along with another family. Soft drinks, flippers and also a snorkel tube that we could take as a souvenir were all included in the price. All of the guides were super friendly and helpful and one even took our go pro to film some of the caves deeper in the water for us. Really smooth experience and would definitely recommend.

Great trip to Cozumel from Playa. Little bit of a pain to get to with ferry (Covid lines are long) and then a taxi to Torguga. Excellent food and drinks, snorkeling was great; clear water lots of fish. Catamaran was a relaxing trip and ceviche dish on the water board was the best. Highly recommend and all staff were comical and joyous.

What a great and professional snorkeling activity. Transportation to and from was safe and easy. They picked us up by taxi at Hôtel Barracuda. Surprisingly we were the only 2 customers on the boat that can seat 40 people, which added to our very positive experience. The boat crew were amazing. Personal service was offered throughout the whole experience. We loved it. It was very affordable! Simply just a magnificent snorkeling Day on the turquoise waters of Cozumel Less

This was a great tour! We hit all three reefs though the snorkeling time is a bit short - I would say this is more of a fun day trip vs a hardcore snorkeling tour, but that was perfect for us. The hosts were hilarious and provided a ton of drinks and good snacks and we went to the most amazing part of Coz only accessible by boat (El Cielo reef). Highly recommend!

We didn't know what to expect but had previously snorkeled in various places in Mexico. This time was great. Our family was the only group on the afternoon trip. We had a short taxi ride to the marina. The first site was within sight of the cruise ship. Our guide took us to the coral reef and we encountered schools of fish. My teenagers throughly enjoyed the excursion. Please use these local operators who are trying to build back their business.

How to Get There

Paradise Reef is located off the island of Cozumel near Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. It lies south of the Puerta Maya Cruise Ship Pier and is one of the first dive sites in the Cozumel Marine Park. Experienced swimmers can do the dive from shore, but most choose not to fight the current and instead dive from a boat. You can opt for a private charter boat or a guided tour.

Cozumel’s Coral Reefs

Cozumel is best known for its expansive coral reefs, some of the largest in the world. Paradise Reef and the Palancar Gardens are ideal spots for novice divers and snorkelers due to their shallow depth and offer a chance to glimpse sea turtles, colorful fish, towering coral spires, and gently waving sea fans. The Palancar Caves are probably the most famous dive site, with huge brain corals and swim-through tunnels. Palancar Horseshoe is another massive formation of corals.
