The Basics

To avoid spending hours in line at the Accademia Gallery, snag skip-the-line tickets in advance or opt for a private guided tour. David is unsurprisingly popular and set in one of the most crowded parts of the gallery—for the best photo ops, book a coveted, exclusive, early-access tour. To maximize your time in Florence, choose a half- or full-day tour that visits both the Accademia Gallery and the Uffizi Gallery or also includes a city sightseeing tour.

Skip the Line: Florence Accademia Gallery Tickets
We had to move our booking twice due to Covid but Viator we’re helpful and made changes extremely easy. No additional fees etc and always money back 24hrs before. Easy to collect tickets on the day and would highly recommend as the queues are long!

David & Accademia Gallery Tour - Florence (Reserved Entrance)
It was a very informative and good tour, our tour guide shared many stories of the making of David statue.she was a fantastic story teller, she even knew which angle is best to take pictures of David statue. her passion for her work reflected in her stories. The best part was that we didn’t have to stand in a queue while entering and had free time to explore the museum after the tour was over.

David & Accademia Gallery Tour - Florence (Reserved Entrance)
Gayla was a terrific guide. We learned so much more from her than if we had walked through alone. It was efficient and made for a much shorter wait to get in than had we gotten on line ourselves. Well worth the money. Thanks

Waited at the meeting spot for less than a minute, we even arrived a few minutes early. We were then greeted and taken right into the museum, very easy and worth it as the lines were very long. We only liked the museum for David as that is the main attraction.

VIP SKIP THE LINE: Love the David GUIDED EXPERIENCE
Claudio was an amazing tour guide. He went into great detail on some of the smallest things. I am only 11, and I found it very interesting. My mom and dad also thought it was excellent and a great use of our time and money in Florence. We would highly recommend this tour though it is brief but full of interesting information.

What Not to Miss at the Accademia Gallery

The scale of Michelangelo’s David (carved from a single block of Carrara marble) is enough to impress, but its fine details and lifelike features make it a true masterpiece. Travelers spend most of their time admiring David, but those interested in Michelangelo’s life and other works should also see his unfinished San Matteo or Prigioni that adorn the main hallway. The plaster model of Giambologna’s Rape of the Sabine Women also shouldn’t be missed.
