Uffizi Galleries (Gallerie degli Uffizi)

Tues–Sun 8:15am–6:50pm
Piazza degli Uffizi, Florence, Tuscany, 50125

The Basics

Due to its immense popularity, the Uffizi Galleries is prone to long lines and extensive wait times—it's best to book skip-the-line admission to maximize your time. The gallery features a number of long, winding art-filled hallways, making it near-impossible to see everything on display, so small-group guided tours and self-guided audio tours are recommended to help you see the top pieces and give some context to the works you’re viewing. A visit is often combined with a stop at the nearby Accademia Gallery, which houses the Statue of David.

Giovanna was great! Very educational. You only have to download your tickets. The guide picks up the paper tickets from the box office. Totally worth the price.

Long long lines due to closure on Monday May 23rd - pity we were not advised of this in advance- also far too many visitors permitted in rooms at the same time - defo a health and safety issue

Early Access: Guided Uffizi Gallery Tour with Skip-the-Line Ticket
Angelo was our tour guide for the Uffizi. He was incredible. A tremendous wealth of knowledge and humor. He was just fantastic. If you can request Angelo, he was just great. Had a lot of insight, knowledge, and humor. He made the tour a truly memorable experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We traveled in December 2020 so the crowds weren't bad given the off season and ongoing Covid issues in Europe.

Rafael’s paintings, because he had combined the techniques his teaches used. Like the progression to more bright colors.

Half-Day Uffizi and Accademia Small-Group Guided Tour
Rachel was an amazing guide to the Uffizi Gallary! She is an Art Historian at a university in Florence and we felt so lucky to have such a passionate guide. She brought the art to life with colorful stories and background behind the artist and commissioner. Uffizi is one of the most important and largest renaissance art collections in the world, so it would be overwhelming without a guide. Very happy we did this!
Barbara provided a spectacular experience.

Private Full Day Walking Tour of Florence Highlights with Uffizi and Accademia
Our guide was Barbara. She provided a very detailed history details of the art and museum tours as well as the details about Florence. We saw not only the points of interest but many of the back street streets with local artisans and crafts people. The overall experience well exceeded our expectations.
Amazing cultural experience!
