Sainte-Famille Wines Tours and Activities

The Avon River Valley is quickly becoming a hub of activity in the alcohol industry! You'll find wine, craft beer, and cider! This private tour offers a little bit of everything all packed into a fun day out! The tour starts with an entertaining story of how the Nova Scotia wine industry came to be on our way to the first winery, Sainte-Famille Wines. You'll learn all about our cool climate wines with a private vineyard tour and wine tastings at two award-winning wineries. The second winery, Avondale Sky, is housed inside a restored church built in 1836. A tasty bistro-lunch here is also included! The final stop, Meander River Farm and Brewery will delight you! Alongside tasting their craft beer and cider, you'll walk the grounds to see the adorable pigs and expansive lavender patch and flower gardens.

If you want the absolute best wine tour, this is THE tour! This is a private wine tour where you and your friends will feel like VIPs! Also, you get to choose which wineries you will visit! Choose two wineries from Avondale Sky Winery, L'Acadie Vineyards, Planters Ridge Winery, Benjamin Bridge or Sainte-Famille Wines where you'll enjoy private tours and wine tastings. The third winery is our oldest established winery, Grand Pre Wines. Here you'll take a stroll through the vineyard to learn about the grape-growing process followed by a private wine tasting of 5 award-winning wines. Then relax on the vine covered pergola and savour a two-course gourmet lunch paired with a glass of wine. The lunch is chef-created based on food allergies and dietary restrictions provided by the travelers and includes an appetizer and a choice of two entrees. All ingredients are locally sourced from the nearby farms and fisheries. This tour has a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 8 people.

Stroll through the lush vineyard of Sainte-Famille Winery and taste Nova Scotia's signature white wine, Tidal Bay, grown next to the very vines that it was produced from. You'll take a tour lead by the owner, Sue Corkum and learn about her 25 years producing award winning Nova Scotia wine. Enjoy stunning views from two deck areas - one showcasing the vineyard, the other an extraordinary view of the Avon River Valley and Ski Martock. You'll also view the production and processing areas. End the tour with tasting and enjoy the gift shop area.
