The Basics

A standard admission ticket grants you access to the zoo’s extensive animal exhibits, while the next step up includes a single or multiple rides on the Wildlife Carousel. If you’re planning to visit more than one major Houston attraction, save money with a multi-attraction pass, which typically cover entry to the zoo, Downtown Aquarium, Space Center Houston, Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Natural Science, and more.

Review time ! After a very busy 3 days my family and I have nothing but good things to say about the Houston City Pass. We visited The Downtown Aquarium, The Museum of Natural Science , Houston Zoo, Kemah and Nasa ! The pass option was affordable and made it very easy to find family friendly attractions without having to look. The lineup of places to visit is great and worked out perfect for my family of nine 💙 We would definitely book again on another Houston trip.

I highly recommend using the city pass for the experience and savings. My family and I had a great time. We were able to experience the Children's museum, Houston Zoo, Kemah Boardwalk, and the Houston Aquarium.

So far we've been to the Zoo, Aquarium, and National Science Museum. Each place has its own special moments. Next we go to Nasa then Kemah. This is wonderful!

The most memorable part was being able to share this experience with my significant other. Only issue that we encountered was not being able to use the Houston citypass to get into the kemah boardwalk. Therefore, we had to pay out of pocket which was very much inconvenient considering we had already booked and paid for the citypass in hopes to use it to get into everything that was offered.

If you have a day and want to get to know Houston this is the best value. Except on a Thursday when all museums are free.

The flamingos were beautiful and the baby elephant so cute! There was a nice balance of outdoor and indoor venues to get out of the heat.

The City pass allows you to do so much with your family and it was cheap. Not having to worry about buying tickets at each place you visit is defiantly a bonus.

How to Get There

Parking at Hermann Park can be a challenge so it’s a better idea to take a taxi or rideshare to the zoo entrance. The Houston METRORail also stops within walking distance of the zoo; get off at the Hermann Park/Rice U Station.
