Slip N Fly
The Basics
Opened in 2014 as a simple water park, Slip N Fly has since evolved into a full-blown party venue: It’s also known as Slip N Fly Party or Slip N Fly Day Slide Party. With opening sessions timed to fit Ko Pha Ngan’s full-moon, half-moon, and black-moon party schedule, it’s a fun way to carry on the session from your night on the beach. Choose between “festival” passes, with a multiple-entry wristband valid for the duration of the party period (typically 2–3 days), and day passes. There are discounts for under-14s.
Things to Know Before You Go
Slip N Fly is a good choice for people who like thrills with their parties.
The alcohol flows at Slip N Fly, and most families will find it’s not a child-friendly environment. Under-14s are not allowed on the big slides.
Safety standards at Slip N Fly are not as high as many international travelers might expect. The big slides launch you high in the air and can cause injury if you miss the landing.
Koh Pha Ngan is a tough destination for travelers who use wheelchairs, and Slip N Fly is no exception.
How to Get There
Slip N Fly is in central Ko Pha Ngan, off the main cross-island road, about a 10-mile (16-kilometer) drive north of Haad Rin Pier. Given the alcohol involved, it’s best to avoid riding motorbikes, even if you have a license, insurance, and helmets. Book tickets with transfers or arrange a songthaew pickup service.
When to Get There
Slip N Fly operates during Ko Pha Ngan’s party periods only: That’s for the full-moon, new-moon, and half-moon sessions, as well as Western favorites such as Christmas and New Year. Opening hours vary but are generally from late morning until before sunset—it’s exclusively a daytime venue.
How to Slide Safely at Slip N Fly
The big slides at Slip N Fly can launch you as high as 20 feet (6 meters) into the air, and impact with the water can cause bruising—and worse—if handled wrong. Aim to hit the pool feet first, avoid trying flips when drunk, and protect your back, head, and neck from impact.
