Mamula Island served as NOTORIOUS PRISON during both world wars known as “Kampo Mamula”. Small-Group Guided Tour to Kotor and Blue cave
"Our group of three all loved this tour! We were picked up by immaculate speedboat at the port and whisked away to our first stop...Our Lady of the Rock. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide told us all about this island and church, then allowed us to wander on our own! Next, we went to the submarine tunnels! Wow! The history of these was very interesting and our guide took us in one of them- - -incredible! We stopped at Manula Island which was their little Alcatraz. You can’t go on to the island due to construction. Then, on to the Blue Cave where after telling about the formation of the cave, etc. we were told we could swim into the cave! Well worth swimming further than our boat could go. We saw bats, but they were high up and were not bothering anyone."..."

Full Day Sailing Boat Tour of Boka Bay
"Myself and my gf booked this as a means of exploring the bay by water and we were not disappointed. The tour itself is a full day tour from 10-6 at a leisurely pace with the tour guide telling us about the history of the bay and the many historic buildings that we came upon. Though my gf did not speak serbo-croation our tour guide was more than happy to converse with us in English. The captain and his wife were very accomodating, making us lunch and stopping wherever we liked for a swim. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice relaxing day on the water! Tip: The city of Kotor get very busy very quick so if you are driving in I'd recommend trying to get to the city for 8-830am to avoid traffic, there is lots to do before the guide finds you and you won't have to worry about finding a parking spot."..."
