The Basics

Set sail across the Caribbean Sea on a speedboat or catamaran cruise to Saona Island to spend a day swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing at the island's beaches and lagoons. Full-day Saona Island tours run from Punta Cana, La Romana, Bayahibe Beach, and Santo Domingo, and often include visits to mainland sights such as Altos de Chavon. Alternatively, arrive in style on a private helicopter to enjoy spectacular views along the island's southern coast.

Fun, fun fun
My boyfriend and I were celebrating our 2 years anniversary, so we wanted to do something romantic and memorable. We picked Sarona Island supposedly it's very romantic. But from what to expect to what it is actually is a bit far-fetched. But we had so much fun, I wouldn't say romantic though, definitely memorable, fun and we love it. We had so much fun.

Full-Day Small-Group Saona Island Tour
Best tour ever! Was a really nice experience and you visit a lot of places without any hurry. Melvin is the best! My only recomendation is to stick to max 10 persons for the trip. We were 13 in the boat and the description of the tour says it's max 10. Nevertheless, it was an awsome experience! Cheers

Saona Island Paradise From Punta Cana
Benjamin was a cool guide. His English is very good and is also funny. I gave 4 stars because the food was not that good. They didn’t offer so many options for vegetarians. There was only salads and the rest was pork and chicken only. The tour took approx 11 hrs. We came back very slowly with party catamaran and the party was boring. And we could really skip the tour to the souvenir shop, it wasn’t necessary

Full-Day Excursion in Saona Island
The beach at Saona island is gorgeous and the mid-ocean swimming pool was fun. Our tour took the catamaran on the way in instead of the speed boat, so we did the island first and then swimming pool. Our guide, Lisandro, was super nice, so were the rest of the crew. The music on the boat can be loud.

Everything was FANTASTIC, the only negative was that I was told we would be having lobster and we didn’t.

Exploring Saona Island

After visiting the village of Mano Juan, exploring Cotubanamá Cave, and strolling the pristine Canto de la Playa beach, take a dip at a natural pool filled with giant starfish or swim and snorkel at Palmilla Beach. The island has plenty of offshore wonders too—look out for bottlenose dolphins, turtles, manatees, and whales as you cruise around the coast.
