Throughout the journey of the Tamar Valley, we will tell you stories of the region. From historic sites, famous people who shaped the Valley, to the owners of the vineyards. We will also give you the opportunity to purchase produce from the region to take home. We can allow minor customized adjustments. Please discuss this with Jan. After departing Launceston, you will first enjoy a short stop in the historic village of Sheffield, the Town of Murals, before continuing on to Cradle Mountain. Cradle Mountain National Park is one of the five national park areas which together form the Tasmanian Wilderness World heritage Area. We continue our journey into the mountains, passing through the forests, plains and highlands, to arrive at Cradle mountain and Dove Lake – the World Heritage Reserve after a 2.5 hour road journey. From there, you have the opportunity to go on one many of Tassie's great short walks, from 30 minute returns to around 2 hour circuits with amazing mountain and lake views. On the return from Cradle Mountain, we will make a stop at Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese, where you will have the opportunity to taste some of Tassie's finest cheese.
Launceston City Tour would begin with Swiss Village established in 1989 by Mr Vos for his wife, who loved Grindelwald Switzerland after their scenic holiday in Switzerland. And then, we head to Tamar Wetland, the unique urban wetlands reserve near Launceston. A short walk from tourist center takes you to a bird hide that you can observe wetland birds and tamar valley. Brady Lookout, the unique attraction in the Tamar Valley, is set right on the cliff edge. After lunch, we continue the trip to Cataract Gorge Reserve where has walking tacks, the world’s longest single span chairlift, a suspension bridge and panoramic lookouts with spectacular views.
