Lima in a Day: City Sightseeing Tour, Larco Museum and Magic Water Circuit
Ursula is very knowledgeable about Peru’s history. I got to sample all Peru’s dishes, appetizers, desserts with Pisco during lunch in one of their best restaurants. To top it a drink in a bar with a big Peruvian sandwich and Pisco again late afternoon before going to the magic water circuit. Highly recommended tour!!!

Lima in a Day: City Sightseeing Tour, Larco Museum and Magic Water Circuit
Victor was a great and knowledgeable guide. We loved the city centre, the Larco Museum and water fountain display. Viajes Pacifico is a great company - email with pick-up time in advance, vehicles clean and tidy, and drivers professional. Thoroughly recommended.

Half Day City Tour and Larco Museum
Booked as a 2.30 (around 5 hrs )30 hrs before message sent moved to 9.00, the tour lasted 4hrs. That said all to plan with Gabriel excellant very clear English. Went to places with a guide that the tourist would not be able to. Even with reduced time good value if you add admissions, taxis. The Larco museum is interesting. So we paid £37.00+ tips

Larco Museum and Magic Water Circuit Evening Tour
The museum was the real highlight of this tour. The water fountains were pleasant but would have traded them in for more time at the museum. Guide was informative, tour well organised. Enjoyed the visit to the tavern.

Experience Lima: An Evening at the Larco Museum with Dinner
This museum in Lima is a great preparation for the Peruvian monuments because the guide explains a lot about the artifacts and life during the Inka period. Use a guide because that's how the artifacts come to life! The museum was also the home of its founder and the grounds where dinner is served are magical. I had a great night.

Lima in a Day: City Sightseeing Tour, Larco Museum and Magic Water Circuit
The tour was split into 2 tours of ~3h. We had a reservation at a restaurant in between. The tours were very interesting but the time allocated for the lunch was too long. However, very good tour with a local twist at a tavern!

The museum is open daily from the mid-morning until the late evening, although it closes earlier than usual on December 24, 25, 31, and January 1. Lima is lovely in the spring and summer months, when the bougainvillea—which drapes over the historic white mansion—is in full bloom.

The Story of Museo Larco

In the 1920s, Rafael Larco’s father gave him an ancient Peruvian vessel, sparking his interest in his country’s history and a desire to discover more artifacts. He was a pioneer in Peruvian archaeology and led many expeditions, funded by himself and private donors, to uncover thousands of artifacts and save them from tomb raiders. With a desire to display Peru’s beautiful history to the world, he decided to open the Larco Museum in 1926.
