Parque de la Reserva, Lima

The Basics

The world’s largest fountain complex, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Magic Water Circuit is a spectacle to behold. Some of the water features are interactive—you may get a light misting—making it a hit with kids and adults alike. The Maze of the Dream (Laberinto del Ensueno) invites visitors to follow a labyrinth of vertical walls of water to an inner circle. Fountain of Harmony (Fuente de la Armonía) is a pyramid with sides formed by jets of water and Magic Fountain (Fuente Mágica) is the park’s most powerful fountain, with a jet shooting a stream of water 262 feet (80 meters) into the air.

Travelers have many options for exploring the Magic Water Circuit. Private and group tours may be combined with visits to other Lima attractions, including Larco Museum, with its important pre-Colombian art collection, and the nearby pre-Inca archaeological site at Pachacámac.

Fun Night
I had heard that the Larco Museum and the Magic water circuit were two things I should see in Lima. This tour was a perfect way to see them both. The tour even included a stop for a Pisco sour and a traditional sandwich at one of the oldest bars in Lima.

Lima in a Day: City Sightseeing Tour, Larco Museum and Magic Water Circuit
Ursula is very knowledgeable about Peru’s history. I got to sample all Peru’s dishes, appetizers, desserts with Pisco during lunch in one of their best restaurants. To top it a drink in a bar with a big Peruvian sandwich and Pisco again late afternoon before going to the magic water circuit. Highly recommended tour!!!

Magic Water Circuit with Dinner and Folkloric Show
We were a group of three with a guide and thoroughly enjoyed the water fountains and the main display with laser lights. Folklore started slow. The dancers were full of energy and ended on a high. Meal was not that enjoyable. Overall an enjoyable evening.

Lima Full-Day Experience: Pachacamac, Historic Downtown and Magic Water Circuit
I highly recommend this tour. It was very informative and we got to see so much in one day. I am not a big fan of museums, but our guide Pamela made it extremely interesting. The history of this country is fascinating. Thanks for a day we will never forget. And a big shout out to Jorge who handles Lima crazy traffic like a pro!

Fantastic Lima: City Tour, Magic Water and Local Dinner Small-Group
We had a wonderful tour. Phillipa was extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much. He spoke excellent English and we understood everything. We actually had a private tour as we were the only English speaking couple on the tour.

It was a wonderful trip to the past. Pamila my tour guide was very friendly, informative and knowledgeable . She explained everything nicely. I was treated as royalty. Lunch was perfect. Timing and schedule was suitable. Our driver Jorjes knew his way around . I really enjoyed the tour and would advise you to take it yourself. Engulfed into history. The last part of your which is the magical fountains was superb.

Magic Water Show and dinner at most popular restaurant in Barranco (Dance Show)
Thank you Walter for a most enjoyable and fun-filled evening! On our drive to the park, our guide gave us a lot of information about Lima and pointed out sites on our drive. Arriving at the park we had time to walk and view each of the fountains prior to the water show and our guide knew right where to stand to see the best viewing of the show. The buffet style dinner that followed and the service at restaurant was excellent. The Peruvian dancing at dinner show was not-stop and very entertaining. An excellent evening well spent with an excellent guide.

A Well of Information

Inside a tunnel connecting the two halves of the park is an exhibition space where you can learn about how the water reaches the complex and the interesting challenges the city faced when it built its intricate urban water system.
