The Basics

Entrance to Stonehenge is via timed ticket. You’ll be able to view the stones from a few meters away, and shuttle transportation between the observation areas is included with entry. Access to the stones is limited to 30 minutes, but you can spend as long as you like exploring the site’s visitor center. If you want to visit the Inner Circle and walk among the stones, you’ll need to book a special tour outside of public opening hours. Day tours from London are often combined with nearby attractions such as Oxford, Windsor Castle, Bath, Stratford-Upon-Avon, or the Cotswolds.

Fantastic way to see these sights!
We loved this tour! It is a long day but well worth it! Our guide was wonderful, Windsor & Stonehenge were terrific -- and we loved the town of Bath! We only wished we had more time at each of these locations!

London to Stonehenge Shuttle Bus and Independent Day Trip
We were lucky to have Richard as our driver and Alan as our guide, the one day trip was just perfect. I was in Stonehenge and Bath for the second time, still was impressed. Additionally, I felt very safe during the whole trip in terms of covid measures. Also thank you Kimi for being very helpful.

Very good but rush

Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Oxford Day Trip from London
The tour was safe. Safety is the most important thing. The guide and the bus driver are very nice you can count on. But it’s kind of rush to visit three places in one day trip especially when these places are far apart. We ended up only an hour or so at Oxford and had to turn back after driving two hours on the road from Stonehenge, while an hour was wasted waiting for the door open At Windsor in the morning. Maybe a better time planning should be considered.

Stonehenge, Windsor and Bath with Pub Lunch in Lacock
This was our first trip to London and we wanted to see many sights in only 4 days. He sights on this trip we’re on our list and this seemed to be the best way too see them all. The bus was nice, clean and comfortable. Our bus driver, Tall Guy was great. Our tour guide Leon did a great job and was a good historian. Considering we had about 350 miles to cover, we felt we had a fair amount of time at each stop, Windsor Castle, Bath, Lacock and Stonehenge.

Inner circle=magical

Stonehenge Inner Circle Access Day Trip from London Including Windsor
Inner access to Stonehenge was magical!! LOVED it! Windsor would've been much better if we had more time to walk around. We were quiet the whole ride to Windsor and when we got there the male travel guide made us stand there and listen to him telling a long-winded history of King Henry. I really wish he would've just told us all that on the bus and that would've given us an extra 30 minutes to see Windsor.

London to Stonehenge Shuttle Bus and Independent Day Trip
The bus driver was very polite, nice and a good driver. I felt safe in her bus. At Stone Henge; I was disapointed with the audio equiptment, it didn't feel clean, low on battery and it had some cracks, so my hair got stuck a few times. But allthough a beautyful site it is.

Small Group Stonehenge, Bath and Secret Place Tour from London
We booked this last minute and we were not disappointed at all. IF you are lucky enough to get Johnny as your drive you are in for an amazing treat. He was very knowledgeable as well as engaging about Stonehenge and Bath. Also the secret place was amazing. It really couldn't have gone any better. Thanks Johnny!

Friendly service and long time at Stonehenge

Stonehenge Experience
My friend and I really enjoyed this trip, our driver was really friendly and we had enough time at Stonehenge. We were also taken to Woodhenge because we areived a bit earlier, which was a nice addition. The only thing I would improve would be the timing of the bus arrival- we came 15 minutes early and because no one was there until the last minute, we weren’t sure whether or not the bus was coming or that we were at the right place.

When to Get There

Stonehenge is open all year round, but the most atmospheric time to visit is during the summer or winter solstice, when a huge party celebrates the longest and shortest days of the year, and entrance is free. Although visits are timed, it can get crowded in summer, so arrive early or opt for a sunrise or sunset tour to experience the landmark at its most photogenic.
