Practical Info
It's easiest to get to Ulupalakua Ranch by car. To get there, take Highway 37 if coming from the north or Highway 31 if traveling from the southeast.
A must do
This was a great experience. The gps was preloaded with great spots to stop. We really enjoyed the drive up the volcano. A few tips. Bring a sweatshirt. It gets chilly as you climb the mountain. Wear lots of sunscreen. We under estimated how much sun we would get. Our next day we felt pretty rough but we are from the Midwest so we underestimated how much sunscreen to use.. we will definitely do this again
