Udawalawe National Park lies on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, in Sri Lanka. The national park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir.

We will start trip early in the morning from Nuwaraeliya. Horton plains National Park is located 32 km away from Nuwaraeliya, Pattipola road via Ambewela in the highest tableland of Sri Lanka. We will drive to the starting point of the Horton Plan National Park. From the starting point we will start hike through marvelous plateau is covered by Montane evergreen forests, Cloud forests, Grass lands, Marshy Lands and Aquatic eco systems.
