Yoda Guy Movie Exhibit

19A Front Street, Philipsburg, St Maarten

The Basics

Downtown Philipsburg might seem an unlikely place to see Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Han Solo, and friends, but that’s what you find at this shop. Book a tour to enjoy the movie relics, all of which come from the private collection of the creator of Yoda (and St. Maarten resident) Nick “That Yoga Guy” Maley. Storyboards, scripts, vintage movie posters, and behind-the-scenes photos from movies he worked on.

Guided by Maley’s narration (from a DVD) and holographic characters, the tour offers insight into movie making—he worked onThe Shining,Superman, the originalStar Wars andThe Empire Strikes Back, among others. Don’t miss his collection of face casts including Alfred Hitchcock, James Cagney, Abraham Lincoln, Angelina Jolie, and Michael Jackson, which Maley created for his "Thriller" video.

This was an unbelievable experience for any star wars fan (newbie or expert). The figurines, content and Nick himself was amazing. This was the one of the top highlights for our trip to St. Maarten.
