Hoyo Azul Lagoon

Scape Park, Cap Cana, Punta Cana

The Basics

Hoyo Azul is a popular stop on many tours of the Cap Cana Resort, including zipline and full-day excursions from Punta Cana. Those with an interest in nature can get a better understanding of the Cap Cana ecosystem on a day-long ecotour that combines suspension bridges, ziplines, and hiking with a trip to Hoyo Azul. Catamaran cruises are also popular. Once at the park, you can also learn about the flora at endemic plant stations on your way to the cenote.

Hoyo Azul & Scape Park Punta Cana, Caribbean
We (2 adults and 8yr old) had a great time here, loved the zip lines especially the water ones! Lots to do and see, it is alot of walking but all well worth it, very well organised. Pick up and drop off no problems at all.

Great day out but lots of walking. The caves, lagoons and activities are of course worth it. But be advised you’ll sleep well when you get home! Top tip, take towels and water shoes unless you’re happy to drip dry on your trainers.

The Hoyo Azul Scape Park was awesome in general. Being able to not only see these natural wonders but also play in them was awesome. It's definitely a good excursion for anyone who likes adventure. Be sure you like to hike and be active though as it's a workout.

Great family day

Hoyo Azul & Scape Park Punta Cana, Caribbean
We had a blast and loved everything that was offered. Just a heads up, we walked over 9 miles why we were there. You really need to be in decent shape for lots of inclines. The zip line was great, there is one area you have to crawl through and another you have to literally climb up a rock wall. Just want everyone to know what to expect.

Great Time for Active Couples or Families

Hoyo Azul & Scape Park Punta Cana, Caribbean
We had a great time! A couple of things you should know before you go. The park is massive and there is a lot of walking. WEAR COMFORTABLE WATER SHOES! The Zip line was awesome, but you need to be good physical shape - it involves a lot of hiking up the side of a mountain.

Hoyo Azul & Scape Park Punta Cana, Caribbean
Amazing day but very long. Lots of things to do here and the kids (21yr olds 😂) had fun. Make sure you wear closed toe shoes for all the walking on small pebbles to reach each different excursion.

Other Scape Park Attractions

The Hoyo Azul Lagoon is far from the only travel-worthy attraction at Scape Park in the Dominican Republic. In fact, the park is ideal for adventurous travelers looking to dive into underground caves, explore ancient caverns, and go ziplining, before heading to the sandy shores for a spot of relaxation at the beach clubs, a dip in the ocean, or a snorkeling excursion.
