Tikal Day Trip with Local Lunch from San Ignacio
"We originally purchased this tour and we’re super excited but then we were informed due to COVID and not being in phase 2 they couldn’t provide it.It was a real bummer but understandable. However they did offer an alternative and despite us not doing our research on it as I did with this tour, we agreed and by far exceeded experience and expectations. We called late the night before from our hotel desk because no one confirmed our pick up time or if Tikal was still a go. We had someone respond right away and the next day bright and early we got picked up from our hotel. Leo was our tour guide grabbed us early barely took a coffee and we went to caracol among other mini stops on our way back. Maybe phase 2 will lift by end of July if not, and you’re worried about having a gap filler for your excursions and up for the challenge I highly recommend their option to go to Caracol. Tikal was more expensive by $25 or so, I was expecting a refund but after doing the actual full day trip and had such an incredible experience I don’t think I needed to even bother for the price difference. The food they offer as well is delicious"..."

"Good full day trip here. Included stops at the Rio Frio Cave, Pools on Rio with option to swim, Big Rocks Falls (waterfall), nature walk around Caracol, and plenty of time to explore Caracol. Journey to the site from San Ignacio is paved half the way with the last half along a dirt-clay road. Really enjoyed the trip, a mixture of sites that I would not have seen doing separate bookings. Barton Creek Tour
"Rudy was one of the most knowledgeable and kind people I’ve ever met. When he picked us up, he spent the entire drive to Barton Creek teaching us about the ecology of the jungle, about local culture, and about Mayan history. Every question we asked, he had an answer and often a story. Once we arrived at the cave, Rudy told us captivating Mayan creation stories that explained why the Mayans adventured into the caves and held the beliefs they did. His narration was so enrapturing that our entire group was silent for most of the tour. We saw several Mayan ceramics and one skull in the cave. Once we left the cave, we swam in the blue hole outside which was an absolute blast. I would 100% do this tour again, especially if Rudy was our guide."..."

Mountain Bike Adventure to Xunantunich Maya Site
"This ride was really fun and not very technical mostly dirt road, but some potholes and roots to make it interesting. A long slow climb, then downhill into farmland next to the river. We rode across a river on a hand cranked car ferry and climbed the paved hill up to Xunantuich Ruins. What made the ride and ruins tour so spectacular, is that our guide, Selwyn Bol is a naturalist with a degree from Belize University. He had a keen eye for birds, their sounds, and where to see them. He also had extensive knowledge of the local flora there. He explained so much about the Mayan Culture and Xunantunich, that it informed our later tours of Caracol, and Cahal Pech. This was money well spent and we rode our bikes through the jungle!"..."
star-5
Cave Canoeing from San Ignacio
"Francisco was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the Mayans. The experience he gave us canoeing in Barton Creek Cave was amazing!! We say many breathtaking structures and had quite an adventure squeezing through and under tight places. I would totally recommend this tour, especially if Francisco is your guide!!"..."
