Jungle Prada was the site of a Tocobaga Indian village for over 600 years, and it is generally recognized as the 1528 landing place of Panfilo de Narvaez and Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca. Discover one the best-preserved American Indian mounds in all of Florida on this 75-minute guided historical walking adventure. We will escort you to the top of the private Anderson/Narvaez mound, a 900-foot-long, 25-foot-high shell midden. This family-owned property also boasts a 3-acre, Florida-friendly waterfront garden, a small museum with archaeological artifacts from the site, and dozens of free-roaming peacocks.
