Tokyo Dome City Tours & Tickets

Tokyo Dome City
Tokyo Dome City is a massive entertainment complex in the Bunkyo district of Tokyo. The complex is home to a baseball stadium, an amusement park, an arena for boxing and martial arts, a 43-storey hotel, a bowling alley, hundreds of shops and restaurants, and a spa complex.

The Basics
The centerpiece of the complex is the Tokyo Dome. As well as being the home stadium of the Yomiuri Giants baseball team, the Dome—which can seat up to 55,000 people—regularly hosts touring pop stars and musicians. Catching a baseball game here provides unique insight into Japan’s sports culture.

The complex’ amusement park is known as Tokyo Dome City Attractions and has several rollercoasters—including its signature Thunder Dolphin, which reaches a top speed of 81 miles (130 kilometers) an hour—and a Ferris Wheel. The park can get busy, especially during school holidays, so book your admission ticket in advance in order to save time waiting on the day.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Tokyo Dome City is a must-visit for sports fans, families, and thrill seekers.
  • The baseball stadium is wheelchair- and stroller-accessible.
  • Admission fees vary by individual attractions.
  • The complex offers free Wi-Fi throughout.

How to Get There
Tokyo Dome City is a 1-minute walk from Suidobashi Station on the JR Chuo Line. Korakuen Station, which is served by the Marunouchi and Namboku subway lines, and Kasuga Station, on the Oedo and Mita subway lines, are both a 5-minute walk away.

When to Get There

If you want to catch a baseball game, check the Tokyo Dome schedule online and book tickets in advance. Opening hours for Tokyo Dome City Attractions vary throughout the year, but the theme park is generally open from morning through evening.

Koishikawa Korakuen
Though not technically part of Tokyo Dome City, Koishikawa Korakuen is just a short walk away. The landscaped garden dates back to the early Edo Period and combines stones, ponds, trees, and manmade hills to replicate landscapes synonymous with Japan and China. Regardless of the time of year, the garden serves as a tranquil escape from the city.

7-Day Guided Tokyo Baseball Tour

7-Day Guided Tokyo Baseball Tour

star-5
Join fellow adventurous baseball fans September 12-19 as we attend games at all five Tokyo-area ballparks of Nippon Professional Baseball, Japan's major leagues. We have been operating baseball tours in Japan since 1999 and believe that the best way to experience a new culture is by attending a sporting event. You'll feel like a local as we take the train to the ballpark and cheer along with the home team's frenzied fans. And you will have the option to attend a professional sumo wrestling tournament too! Taking in a game in Japan, where baseball is the national sport, is an unforgettable experience. You recognize the field - the green grass, the dimensions, the outfield wall - but that's about it! The rabid fans and unique style of play make attending a baseball game a not-to-be-missed experience for any visitor to Japan. NOTE: Dates are not flexible. We are only offering one tour that starts September and ends September 19.
