The Basics

Arlington National Cemetery is free to visit, and travelers should start at the Welcome Center, where maps, exhibits, and information services can be found. Notable sites within the cemetery include the President John F. Kennedy Eternal Flame; the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee Memorial; and the Memorial Amphitheater. Choose a hop-on hop-off tour that stops at the cemetery, a walking tour of the grounds, or a tour that combines a visit to the cemetery with stops at National Mall monuments, war memorials, Mount Vernon, or other DC landmarks.

What a great tour! Liam was very knowledgeable and touring on Memorial Day made this visit extra special. The highlight was the changing of the guard-where Liam was sure to secure us the best vantage point. Highly recommend this tour & Liam!

Arlington National Cemetery Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
Changing of the guards was very moving. Seems odd that your survey requires you to type a minimum characters in your feedback. Communication like this and your help line are both annoying. Called two times to try to get info and both times tge operators were very hard to understand as English did not seem to be their first language. Your website also does not explain that hotel pick up is not available during covid. Bought tickets and them had to drive to the cemetery.

Arlington National Cemetery Guided Walking Tour - 8ppl Max
Leigh was terrific. The tour walking was at a good pace but not too demanding. She was extremely well informed on D. C. in general. Her knowledge of the cemetery and its rituals and ceremonies was outstanding enhanced by actually having worked on site. Wonderful gifted guide who made this an uplifting and memorable day.

How knowledgeable the guide was and he was friendly. (Liam at Arlington) Asked where everyone was from. The night tour, the driver was funny and made the tour more enjoyable. Very pleasant. (JR559)

Liam was a wonderful guide. He was very knowledgeable, spoke loud enough for everybody to hear and answered everyone’s questions. The tour flowed perfectly. We really enjoyed all the information he provided. I would highly recommend this tour and Liam as a guide. Thank you!

Arlington National Cemetery Guided Walking Tour - Private Tour
This walking tour was fantastic. We felt like we were able to see so many more interesting things versus just riding past as part of a trolley tour. Our guide, Donna Everage, was friendly and knowledgeable about the cemetery and history. The tour lasted about 3 hours and was just over 2 miles of walking. The time went very quickly and we would definitely tour with her again.

Arlington Cemetery Private Tour
Watching from a respectful distance a significant portion of a funeral that was taking place while we were moving from one portion of the cemetery to another. Visiting the grave of a longtime friend. Seeing the area occupied by members of the supreme court was particularly moving.. Tom maintained a reasonable flow of interesting information, neither too much nor too little

Washington DC "Morning Monuments" Guided City Tour plus Arlington Cemetery Entry
Our first time to DC so this tour was a great opportunity to see all the major sites. The guides were fun and informative. Cassie, our guide at Arlington Cemetery shared a lot of wonderful history. We highly recommend this tour.

The Changing of the Guard

The Changing of the Guard ceremony outside the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a must-see when visiting Arlington National Cemetery. The start of the ceremony is announced by a relief commander, and visitors are expected to stand and stay silent throughout the ceremony.
