  • If you are visiting a mosque especially the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, you need to have a more conservative dress code. For men and women, your legs and arms need to be covered – no shorts or skirts above the ankle. Additionally, your clothes should not be tight fitting – this is not the place for yoga pants! Try and ensure the fabric of your clothes is opaque as well, as see-through garments are inappropriate in a religious environment. Female visitors to the mosque will be asked to cover their hair; however, a headscarf will be provided to them upon entry. As a side note, you will be asked to remove your shoes.

Sheikh Zayed Mosque & the date market were my highlights. We were also treated to an exhibition of pre (like alexander the great) and Islamic coins on entrance to the Mosque. The heritage village gave a nice insight into life before oil was found (in 1958 if I remember correctly). The museum at the heritage village was cool.

My wife and I spent 5 hours with Shabeer Parakunath touring Abu Dhabi. He was excellent and got us an upfront look at this wonderful city. Probably most important was his insight into the culture and history of the city. Highly recommend

After stopping at the 2 shops, which I didn't consider a souk. Aren't souks a market? The time left to see the heritage village was so short. Not enough time to even buy anything. Such a shame As far as informative,, we had expected an English guide. He spoke more German than English, so very limited info. Dual language tour not a good thing. The glass in the vans was like ducking to see out, get couch windowed vechiles.

Fabulous tour and fabulous day. Saw all the hotspots in Abu Dhabi and the mask explanations are on par. The drive through the city and the hermitage was great! We also thank him for taking us to the state store and for all the fun and informative adventures of the day.

I was fortunate to have Shabeer as guide for the tour. He is simply the most pleasant, personable and knowledgeable professional guide I've encountered through all my travels. Besides all designed itinerary, Shabeer also took me to the Emirate Palace to marvel all the grandeur and enjoy an afternoon gold cappuccino. The transporation is clean, safe and efficient. Overall top notch tour and I would give 7 star if possible:)

The mosque is a must see. The tour guide had an excellent knowledge of the history of Abu Dhabi and the places of interest we visited and made the tour very interesting and enjoyable. Rather than the date market, we would have preferred to have gone to a market with a larger of variety of goods, like local crafts and clothing, particularly as the majority of passengers were Australian and there are strong quarantine restrictions in Australia.

The tour was well worth the price and very informative about Abu Dhabi, its beginnings and how it has changed over the past few decades. The tour of the Souk only covered one date shop in this produce market where we tasted the dates and had an opportunity to purchase some. We then got back onto the bus and headed to our next stop. The small museum we toured and the Heritage Village were very interesting and we had 30 minutes to shop for souvenirs as well as look through the village. The Mosque was amazing and not to be missed.
