Your full-day tour starts early with morning pickup from Alice Springs by comfortable air-conditioned coach.

Travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges heading towards your first stop at Erldunda Roadhouse for a buffet breakfast. You'll take rest stops during the 6-hour drive and your guide provides a packed lunch to eat during the final 10 miles (18 km) that lead to World Heritage-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Upon arrival in the national park, head to Walpa Gorge for your first walk. View the dome-shaped rock formations of Kata Tjuta from a close vantage point as you walk about 1.5 miles (2.6km). Then learn more about the Aboriginal Pitjantjatjara people and Central Australia at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.

Next, go to the base of Uluru (Ayers Rock) for the Mala Walk, which features fine examples of Aboriginal rock art, plus sheer rock walls and important sites for the Aboriginal people. Then drive to the other side of Uluru for a short walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. As you marvel at the shimmering water and red rock, learn from your guide about the legend of the ancestral water snake named Wanampi.

Before sundown, go to the Uluru sunset viewing area for the highlight of the day: watching the sun set over Uluru. Sip a glass of bubbly and appetizers as the sky changes color, then feast on a classic Australian barbecue dinner buffet.

When night falls, start the drive back to to Alice Springs where your tour ends with hotel drop-off late at night.

Good tour, good food, great guides

Good tour. Disappointing as it was a cloudy wet day and so no sunset happened. But it was awesome to see the rock in the rain which is very unusual. Food and drinks good and plenty of it. Great guides. The bus needed a bit of maintenance!!! Make that a lot!!! It fogged up, dripped water on peoples heads, seat belts didn’t tighten on my body properly. Air con was freezing at times.

The magic of Uluru in one day

An excellent trip. Very long hours in the bus but catered for as best as possible. Large breakfast which would have had full marks if the plates and food were warm. Great lunch and bbq. This was a trip to not miss and well provided for those short of time. Uluru is magic with an added understanding of the Aboriginal culture provided in stories by the guide.

Booked almost 2 months in advance, I expected just to see the indigenous places in central Australia. But I got much more. Besides everything run smooth and timely, both guides we had were experienced and explained everything in detail with an overview. Thanks!!!

A day at Uluru

The most memorable experience of this tour was enjoying the BBQ Dinner and a champagne as we watched the sun set over Uluru. This trip is fantastic and is great if your short on time in Alice. It is a long day - approx 18hrs so bring a charger or battery pack for your devices. There is also alot of driving and no reception. Get some TV series or movies downloaded to keep you entertained on the road. Although the driver does a great job in telling you things along the way. The bus gets quite cold wear layers so you can rug up on the bus but take off during your walks as those get warm. Overall, amazing experience and knowledge guides

A memorable experience.

The visits to Uluru and Kata Tjuta were even more memorable than I expected. Tour guides/drivers were professional and supportive. It was unfortunate that the coach broke down and that it appeared that it was not the first time that particular coach had had problems. Fortunate, though, that we’d completed most of the activities before it happened so the only real downside was the 3am arrival back in Alice Springs. Would thoroughly recommend the tour. Worth the long travel time to and from Uluru

Most memorable day of my life

The tour was well organised. We liked the three walks despite the hot weather. Everything ran smoothly until our bus broke down. The company and the drivers did an excellent job trying to save the day and we all managed to be transported back to our hotel safely, despite being on a long weekend. We also enjoyed the extra 2 hours watching sunset and moon rise at Uluru. It was amazing!
