Tour guide did not...
Cherry_A
, Jul 2022
Tour guide did not enunciate clearly and spoke in a monotone. His delivery was very hard to hear and made difficult because he did not appear aware of or take into consideration the surrounding (garbage trucks, street cleaners, helicopters). He failed to give instruction when moving from place to place.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Well I can not say much about city work- I have no control over that. But thank you for pointing out my delivery. Some days your just off, sorry for that.

Great start to our long weekend in Amsterdam
Louise_T
, Jul 2022
Having previously visited many European cities and come away wondering what we missed, we now believe a tour early on helps make the most of a long weekend. Our guide didn’t disappoint, providing all sorts of historic and contemporary facts that are proving invaluable in getting the most out our 4 days in town. Most of all we valued gaining an understanding of how Amsterdam has reinvented itself over time and the forces that have influenced the city it has become today.

This is the type of comment I really enjoy. It means a lot that I added value to your trip. Cheers.

Loved this walking tour. Guide was very knowledgable and I shared history od the Dutch and Amsterdam. Very educational and took you to spots not in guide books. I highly recommend!

Thanks for this review especially after the last one saying I knew very little. Thanks for asking questions it really helps.

Not suitable for first-time visitors!
Nadine_M
, Jul 2022
The guide tried very hard and was overall nice and likeable but the tour was quite boring. It contained of very detailed information and anecdotes about specific (but rather uninteresting) buildings/spots. For someone who‘s foreign to the city and more generalized view on things would be much more helpful.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Sorry but I do say at the start of every tour please ask questions that are relevant to what you are interested in as I used to do food, beer, bike, cannabis, and red light tours. I have too much information to share. Sorry you didnt ask any questions. I will try and make this more clear at start of tour due to your feedback.

Nice walking tour around Amsterdam

The host took us to parts of the city away from the main bustle of Amsterdam. It was good to get a glimpse of the city from a different perspective. All in all it was a good tour full of information.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Thanks for the descriptive tour- glad you found our city interesting without all the monuments.

The tour with Shaun was great. He was very knowledgeable about the city and enthusiastic. I did a canal tour in the morning and nothing we visited overlapped which was great. I recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the architecture of Amsterdam.

Glad to take you into a few neighbourhoods downtown. Thank you for sharing.

Disappointing
Susan_S
, Jun 2022
I was looking forward to this tour to get a physical orientation to Amsterdam and to understand something about its history and culture. After 3 hours though, I was even more confused about its layout. I didn’t learn very much about its history. I did learn about a number of restaurants to try, although I couldn’t find them.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
Its good to share these thoughts. Perhaps when others read this review they can think of bringing a map along rather than relying on a phone. I am always available to clarify any confusion, especially at end of tour.

Confusion ... but it ended in a private walking tour
Dawn_O
, Jun 2022
When we arrived at the designated spot, there was no tour group. I called the phone number on the ticket and within 10 minutes (after we sorted out the confusion) we were on a private walking tour that far surpassed our expectations! very informative and a great 5-mile hike! We saw it all, I think and would do it again. Thanks!
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
Hay Dawn I would take you guys around again anytime as well - great company!

Great overview tour of Amsterdam
Ngayan_L
, Jun 2022
The tour was just the right length but covered a lot of the history, architecture, and other interesting stories about Amsterdam. It gave us a great overview of the city and it was wholy interesting. Sean was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was a wonderful guide and we thoroughly enjoyed the time on the tour.
