      I enjoyed sharing his storyline and the incredible talent. He was truly a genius and so talented. I missed the canal trip due to the museum closing for tech difficulties that had me coming back at a later time but the personnel let me right in at the later time without waiting. Truly. Remarkable memory.

      The Van Gogh museum is a great experience. This tour experience was not. 1. We had poor guidance on how to get into the museum and get the headsets for the museum tour. No guide, no one to get us started on the tour, no help at all. After some time dealing with the museum employees, we began the museum visit. The visit then was done by wandering through the rooms. We eventually saw all the art. 2. The canal cruise tickets offered, requires traveling halfway through the city to get another ticket, then finding the cruise boat for the cruise is a puzzle. This was a ripoff. We couldn’t find the ticket office for the cruise. 3. Priced lower than other similar tours, I would have liked to have much better access to the museum.

      The museum was very very full with people coughing and not wearing masks. It was unenjoyable. The canal cruise was packed and the only seats left were in the very back part of the boat. That was fine but the captain kept making commentary that would have been nice to hear but there wasn’t a speaker system for the microphone in the back of the boat so we didn’t hear any of that. If you’re going to talk then make sure everyone can hear since we all paid.

      the van gogh museum itself was amazing and you just used the ticket that the experience gives you. the boat tour was boring, had an automated speech about the canals which really wasn’t that interesting, and you couldn’t see much outside the boat. there was no communication from anyone about anything you just had to thoroughly read the directions that the are listed. would NOT recommend!

      Skip the line was fantastic as the museum was sold out. The paintings were so close to us for viewing! The four stars is because the canal cruise is far from the museum. It’s misleading that they are close. We had to Uber and it was about 15 min. You’re better off just picking a canal cruise company and buying tickets. There was nothing special about this one.

      These would be the recommended tours if you are content in getting around Amsterdam on your own and fending for yourself. It was easy for us to get to the starting points as we checked before booking which tours were close to our hotel. No brainer for do-it-yourselfers!

      Don't know why the canal ride is associated with the Van Gogh Museum. You can book the museum separately and THEN take the canal ride from the company across the street from the museum. Confusing details with this package! Canal trip is from Love Canal, near train station. Audio didn't work for telling us what we were seeing. Just book these two events separate from each other. Museum is Fantastic!
