book this tour but specify a tour operator with limited or no stop in souvenier shop
, Dec 2021
Delphi itself is magnificent, but I got the CHAT Tours operator , they could have done better. the stop in the souvenier shops is longer than the time spent in archeological site. we also did a.stop for few minutes on the way to delphi which they could have shortened a little bit.

Dear Necy, Kindly be informed that the stops that we do on the tours are mandatory from Greek low according the driving hours. Driver every 3 hours must stop 30 min. The coffee shops in Tourist areas usually sells souverirs and we asked your guide Mrs Dimitra Skouta and she never recommended to buy any souvenir! On the way back we include in our itinerary short stop at traditional village of Arachova. As per bus GPS the first stop was 27 min , you spent at Delphi sie and museum 2,5 hours and at Arachova 25 min. We assure that all companies with transportation services must do the stops and Chat Tours always follow safety instructions. Thank you for your review as you gave the opportunity to explain! Kind regards Hara Kritikidou Customer Service Manager
Even in the fog, very much worthy of a trip.
, Nov 2021
Having the sun peek out of the fog around Mt. Parnassus just as we were reaching the Sybil's Stone was magical and the weather kept mugging for beautiful shots the rest of the day, which made an already exhilarating day better still.
Not enough time
, Nov 2021
Not enough time spent at the site in Delphi! We had about 1 hour and 15 minutes for both the site and museum. However, time was not an issue when we had to stop for coffee or souvenirs. The trip should focus on the PURPOSE - Delphi! Disappointed

Delphi trip

It was nice to visit Delphi and learn a story of Apollo. Delicious lunch served after visiting the site. Informative tour guide and comfortable travel.
Lovely trip
, Oct 2021
Excellent trip, v comfy coach, decent amount of time at Delphi, our guide (Effie) was very knowledgeable and our driver (Niko) was very safe. Met 8.20am at Amalia Hotel, arrived at Delphi just before 12 (had a coffee/toilet stop on the way). Guided tour for first hour and a bit, then looked around the site and the museum ourselves (guide told us what to look out for). Drove to nearby town Delphi for lunch at 2.30 for an hour - most chose the inclusive lunch option at a nearby hotel but we didn’t, and there were tons of cafes to choose from. On return journey we stopped at a picturesque town for a coffee break / to enjoy the view. Arrived back in Athens just after 7. Would definitely recommend. But take hat, suncream etc as we toured the Delphi site at the hottest part of the day (we were lucky that it was cloudy for us so not too hot)
Go to Delphi Find Another Tour
, Oct 2021
The trip is long. The location is AMAZING, INCREDIBLE and once in a life time so go. The bus for this trip was okay. BUT the guide and driver weren’t watching the traffic or miscalculated and we were 2 hours late stuck in traffic. Then they didn’t even take us to our original location! “Get out here or it might be hours!” Leaving is to walk at night for blocks. We made an unnecessary random stop at a one shop stop and pit stop most likely so the guide could smoke. You could not hear her at the site, the APP SUCKS, she did wait for the whole group to start speaking so you missed a lot of what she said. The English and French translation was really, really tiresome especially since she didn’t stop talking then, to us, to the driver to a random passenger the entire drive ba so even when you wanted silence you couldn’t have it. Go to Delphi you must- but find another tour operator or guide.

We are thanking you for your feedback. We understood that you enjoy the tour but you was disappoined as was a lot of traffic. We are sorry for your bad review but even with another will be the same way back with the same traffic. Drivers and guides are not responsible for the traffic and sometimes there are delays due to road workers or car accident. As for the stops are under Greek law that driver must stop on both ways for min 20 minutes and it is impossible to drive 10 hours without stops. Thank you Hara Kritikidou Customer Service Manager
Excellent site, poor TRIPI Lite app
, Oct 2021
Excellent views and historical ruins. Well marked routes. Medium rigorous climb to the top where the stadium is located. Long bus ride, 3 hours to and 3 hours back to Athens. Smooth ride. Unfortunately, the TRIPI Lite app did not work for anyone on the tour. We had to crowd around the guide. Very difficult to hear her and social distancing was non existent. I suggest to see the museum first, with an explanation from the guide. Then on our own for the large area tour.

Poor but cheap
, Oct 2021
The monuments and ruins of the ancient temples and the stadium were great, but other than that - nothing really. We only stopped for few minutes in Delphi and Arachova, but one can't do much in 15-20 minutes. Would've been great if the stop was for an hour or so.
