I can't believe we've never done a cooking class like this before. It was such a great time. The instructor was the sweetest guy and we only had a group of 6, so we all became quite close by the end of the evening. The meals are not too difficult and enjoyable to make. The views of the Acropolis on the roof as the sun set in the distance were beautiful. Truly a magical time.

Hands-on way to make your Greek pie and eat it too, with a view!

Really enjoyed this hands-on, not-for-show cooking class. We learned a half-dozen dishes, spent a few hours helping prepare them and especially perfecting our filo-dough rolling technique. Chef Stam is friendly, engaging and knows how to get you involved but not leave you feeling intimidated if you aren't a regular cook. Best of all, at the end of it, you get to eat your creations (and a few other treats) on the rooftop of this bakery, with a great view of the Acropolis and surrounding neighborhood. Nothing bad to say - this was an excellent value and a fun way to appreciate Greek cuisine.

Loved this class - food was great - Stam, our chef, taught us a lot, kept the class moving, and was very fun. The small group (8) gave everyone a chance to prepare a part of the meal and the ending dinner with everyone was truly amazing!

Fun evening in Athens. Good food.

Located at an upscale bakery near Monastiraki Square, 8 of us bonded over Greek food. Highlight was dinner on rooftop with a stunning view of the Acropolis. Suggestions would have multiple assigned jobs to participants as it was a lot of time standing and observing. This was a long eve from 530 P til after 10P. More food than we needed. Would skip the chicken entree. Focus on other items only. Delicious!

the Perfect Evening!

Beautiful evening - Learned Greek Cooking from Spiros who was lively, enthusiastic and lots of fun! Not fussy- great at food presentation! Food tasted wonderful! Had a group with only one other couple! Made 5 dishes and he gave us all the recipes! Then drank wine on the rooftop - and ate in the trendy bakery/café since it was a breezy night! A real highlight of our Athens experience!.

We really enjoyed our cooking class. Stam was a great teacher and knowledgable chef. The recipes were practical and included authentic spanakopita as well as more modern chocolate mouse. The food was delicious and the views of acropolis at night unforgettable!

Misleading and Inaccurate Description by Viator
Smccarts
, Oct 2018
Our chef Lea was fantastic! However we believe that The Cooking Experience including the dinner would be a total of three hours ending at 8:30 p.m. In reality the cooking class itself was 3 hours. We needed to exit early in order to get back to the port of Piraeus and our cruise ship. We were advised by the chef that they have asked viator to change the description of this event to accurately reflect the 3 hours of cooking plus one hour of dining. We would not have booked this event had we known of the four hour requirement as it did not meet the number of hours on our time away from the cruise ship. We had a lot of fun during the 2 + hours with our chef and a total of 3 couples. One couple was a no show which also delayed our start time. We were supposed to have been met at 5:15; I had to call a the company and they're assured me that we would be met very soon thereafter. The introductory meeting was approximately 20 minutes late.

This was my favorite tour of all time...

This was my favorite tour of all time. You start in the commercial kitchen of a baker/deli and learn how to make several Greek dishes. Stam, our chef and instructor, was charming and knowledgeable. We rolled dough for spinach pie, made the sauce for our main dish, and created a scrumptious dessert. All this food is then taken to the roof of the building where we dined overlooking the Acropolis.
