AMAZING Tour! A must visit!

I had the most amazing tour with such an amazing, knowledgeable and fun tour guide, Cristos (Cris). Due to the lack of tourists at the time, I was lucky enough to have the tour all by myself, which was amazing!! I got to see so much and Cristos even took me to some off the tour spots. The monasteries are absolutely beautiful and the views are out of this world! This is a must visit if you are in Greece. The train ride is quite long (4 hours), but it is so worth it! Just bring a book/listen to music or just fall a sleep. I would even take the tour again to be honest, it’s that beautiful!

Absolutely take this tour even if the train isn’t running and you end up on the bus. Go with the flow. Amazing experience. Guides are outstanding and humorous and accommodating of photo taking and local eateries.

Long ride but worth it

A very well organised tour. The train ride from Athens was a long one so take plenty of snacks. The tour guide is waiting for you on your arrival and then the journey to the three monasteries and viewpoints is worth it.

Amazing Meteora

Despite the train trip being incredibly long, this was an amazing trip. Our guide, Yannis, was local, very knowledgable and shared a lot of information with our group. Our driver, Saggis (sorry if I spelt that wrong) was great. Well worth the trip. Word of advice. Take your own snacks for the train trip. Not much of a selection on the train.

Athens Meteora Monasteries

Wow! What an amazing place is this. It is beyond imagination how they build those monasteries on top of the steep and thin rocks! We are still not out of the awesome experience we had visiting Meteora Monasteries and the rock formations all over the place which is a natural fort like protection for the town beneath! Not to be missed destination in Athens. The tour guide was informative, jovial and friendly. The driver was skilled and gave us a safe and smooth ride through the hill track!

Excellent tour! Chris our tour guide was was full of humor, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The train ride was long, but well worth it. We suggest to book 2nd class as the seats were comfortable as opposed to chairs in the 1st class. A must tour.

Cool trip. Long, long train ride 4.5 hours each way. BUT worth it in the long run. Watch for pickpockets as my friend was hit on the train scrum to get on the train in Athens. Great views on the tour and the guide spoke perfect English and knew his stuff!

A long train ride, but definitely worth the trip. Meteora is an amazing place. I’d recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and bringing some snacks. Also, be sure to abide by the dress code to avoid any issues with entry.

tad bit disappointing

While meteora is a great scenic place to visit owing to its landscape and rich historical and cultural significance, the tour itself is too long and tedious especially with children. the weather was very hot when we visited in june and the walks were too much for the kids. as far as the tour operator is concerned, basic facilities such as tickets, pick up etc was taken care of. however, other facilities typically available in a day tour were found wanting - the bus had no wifi, the guide did not accompany us inside the monasteries and hence we did not really get into details of how things worked inside the monasteries, the place we stopped at for lunch was not good and the tour fee did not include the moastery entrance (3 euroos per person per monastery). Could certainly have been better
