Worth the trip

We took this tour towards the end of our week in the Athens area. I would highly recommend. The train ride is long so take a movie to watch or a book to read. But once you get there the monasteries and the mountain ranges are unbelievable. We were able to see three of the six monasteries. Make sure you have a good walking shoes and can climb stairs. Chris our God was an excellent source of information.

The place and views are breathtaking. Also, I felt lucky and blessed that such places are open to the public so, I'm really thankful for that part too.

Everything was very smooth. The guide did a great job. The monasteries and the landscape are absolutely gorgeous. A couple days would be better, but I only had a day and this was a great option!

One of the best tours in Greece!

Everything about this trip was exceptional! After being cancelled last min & lied to by another travel agency (exxotica - avoid them at all cost) I did my independent research to get my 70 year old mom here to see Meteora & I’m so glad I did! It is a marvel you must see with your own eyes! Chrysa was our guide and she was one of the best guides we had on our trip! She was very informative and knew so much about each monastery & the secrets of Kalambaka! She also speaks German & Russian! If you can request her as your guide, don’t hesitate! You won’t regret it! She was very patient with my older, slower mom & aunt but we never felt rushed! I can’t wait to come back & spend more time to explore the beautiful Mountain village of Kalambaka! Don’t miss it if you’re planning a trip to Greece! Meteora Thrones also was flexible on pickup and they even offered to drive us to the train station at no cost since we decided to stay an extra night! They were very quick, responsive & professional! Thank you for making this trip one of the best experiences in Greece!
