We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our tour guide, Travis, was very knowledgeable and shared great insights of Austin and the history of bats. We recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Austin area. The views are gorgeous at night. Great summer activity for families.

Connor was a very nice and well educated tour guide! He kept us safe and having a fun time! He was easy to chat with as we waited for the bats! The bat experience was interesting and cool to watch hundreds fly out at a time!

Too long waiting!

The time spent on a 15 minute kayak trip was a lot of wasted time for minimal bat experience. The ability to do more kayaking would make it better and then go the bridge for the bats would have made it a better trip. Go to the bridge and waiting for over an hour made it less of an experience. The guide, Joel, was great. He was very informative and outgoing. He was energetic and fun. I understand you can’t predict what wild animals will do.

What, no bats?

Kayaking was fun and guide was most helpful. We were inexperienced kayakers. Sadly, the bats decided not come fly last night. Didn’t realize that was a possibility. So, we didn’t see the bats after all. It was a fun experience.

Travis was a great tour guide! He provided interesting facts (both historical and present day) about the buildings along the river as well as Austin as a city. The equipment was good, the views were beautiful, and the breeze while paddling back was very refreshing. Only cautionary warning is that it may go longer than 2 hours… our tour was closer to 3 hours by the time everyone got back and out of the kayaks.

This was the coolest thing we did in Austin. Connor, our guide was hilarious and very personable. He made sure everyone had a great time and he was very knowledgeable about the city, the lake, and the bats. Being on the lake is fun and seeing the bats fly is oddly beautiful and exciting. I’d highly recommend!
