Departure Time

8:30 PM
Choose from three (four during the summer) nightly showtimes to suit your evening schedule, and make your way to Los Tarantos, a typical flamenco tablao located on the Plaça Reial in the heart of Barcelona’s historic Gothic Quarter. For more than 50 years, Los Tarantos has drawn crowds of locals and visitors alike thanks to its constantly rotating lineup of some of the region’s most talented dancers and musicians, including contemporary artists like Alba Carmona,Yolanda Cortés, Iván Alcalá, Iñaki Màrquez, and David Domínguez. The show’s producers maintain high standards of artistic integrity, resulting in top-notch performances that represent the authentic spirit of flamenco.

A Great Way to Experience Flamenco
, Nov 2019
We wanted to have a flamenco experience but didn’t want to be locked in for whatever meal would be included at other places. We found this show on TripAdvisor and found an early show at 8:30 that allowed us to go eat nearby after the show, We opted for just the show tickets, though you can also get a drink or meal as well. The show started with some Flamenco guitar and singing, from a guitarist, two vocalists, and a persuasionist, Then a couple of dancers took the stage, with each taking their turn. They entertained us, dancing and singing for nearly 45 minutes, and we greatly enjoyed their passionate performance. For a fun Flamenco experience in Barcelona, check out this show.

The show was 35 minutes. The female dancers danced for approx 5 minutes. The male dancer performed for 5 minutes with the females then a further 10 by himself. The rest of the time was a guitarist alone or with a singer. The stage was also too small to be able to perform to a high quality. This was not value for money and in my opinion not a good example of flamenco.

Dear Rachel, Thank you for sharing your opinion with us. The flamenco show in Los Tarantos lasts 30 minutes. In that time, we try to show the essence of the flamenco art, which includes basically dancing, singing and guitar playing. It is a good sign that the show seemed short to you because that means that you would like to see more flamenco some other time! The tablao's stages are usually smaller than the ones in theaters, this makes the show more intimate and get the artists closer to the audience.
Nice Show

The show was fantastic, the artists were professional. I was with my friends and we were very satisfied. We will do it again several times, it was just WoW.

I did not expect to be so touched by this experience. The musicians and dancers were so intense and emotional. This was a highlight of our Barcelona trip!

I would absolutely not recommend...

I would absolutely not recommend this tour... I don't know if it is because it is only 30mins but it seemed like the performers were very unprofessional. First, the woman that is pictured only did a 30second dance and not even in Flamenco attire. Then there was a 10min song where there was absolutely no dancing. Thirdly, they would interrupt eachother to whisper something or make a joke. At one point we could hear laughing and some sort of party behind the stage. A very disappointing experience!
We were disappointed in this tour...

We were disappointed in this tour. We expected it would be female dancers in flamenco costumes dancing. It was mainly one male dancer who was good which was not what we expected. I thought our teenagers would be interested to watch the dancers but with only one male dancing, they found it rather boring.
