This tour is a lie from start to finish

This was not the tour we booked for. Paddywagon Tours, the tour company subbed 12 of us out to another company. They departed from a different location around the corner. We were not advised that the tour had been oversold and that the operator had subbed us out. We only found out by accident. It was obvious that they did not want us to go on the tour. The tour said we had entry/admission to Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge. We did not have access to Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge. We parked 2 miles away on a cliff top and had a view of the bridge in the distance. We bought a tour that had entry/admission to Giants causeway. We did not. We parked down the road from the facility and walked to the facility and had either a steep 25 - 30 minute climb down and a 30 to 40 minute climb up a cliff road to the causeway or had to pay for a bus to the causeway. We stopped for 60 minutes. We paid for entry/admission to The Dark Hedges. We parked at least a 10 minute walk from the hedges and walked there and back. The bus stopped for 20 minutes. This was a complete rip off. The tour "What's included" is a lie from top to bottom. It even says "ONLY tour leaving Belfast to INCLUDE ENTRY FEE to Giants causeway and Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge" (Quote from our tickets).

The Giants causeway is of course spectacular. You can not go wrong there. There was no wifi on the bus. Not the end of the world but it was advertised. The 20 minute visit to the dark hedges was WAY too short unless you like sprinting! If you plan to go to the bathroom here and see the hedges GOOD LUCK! The view of the Carrick-a-rederope bridge was from miles and miles away. Luckily we stopped at a lookout but it’s not like you hold see exactly what you were looking at. Binoculars might have been helpful! Ticket admission to Dunluce castle is in fact NOT included. The one hour we were supposed to spend there could have been allocated to time at the Causeway. We did end up going by the Peacewall on the way back. So that was a nice added bonus. Our guide Tom was very knowledgeable and funny. Our driver was excellent. We did stop for lunch at little place along the way. However the line was long and they ran out of Irish stew! Hello some people had their hopes up for this! Manage your expectations if you book this tour. I haven’t gone on coach tours such as this before so maybe it’s always a race against time and if people get back to the bus on time. However not getting what is advertised on the website is a different story!

The bus for our trip arrived 25 minutes late, with no explanation. Our tour guide was a nice man and knowledgeable. We did not get to go into the castle, nor could we go on the bridge, and these were two of the main attractions of the day. We feel that this was a good way to spend 7 hours touring - instead of the 9-10 hours that most other similar tours were. However, we didn't think it was great. So, if you want a shorter causeway tour day, this is the one, but manage your expectations, becuase you won't get to go into two of the major attractions.

The Giant's Causeway lived up to expectations. The other highlight was a tour of Belfast, with an informative commentary from the guide, Tom, whose personal experience informed his description. Tom and Ian the driver made it a memorable day out. It would be helpful to show exactly where to be picked up: we were misdirected by staff at the Europa Hotel and waited in the wrong place.

How sad that the tour guide left us behind as we stood in the place allocated and that the hotel even pointed out to us as being the correct place. And then the actual tour operator was not helpful. Thanks to Viator for arranging a refund.

Great trip with a couple of unexpected bonus stops along the way. Excellent commentary from our driver, very interesting and extremely knowledgeable aross all topics (One point, part if his talk on, The Troubles, appeared, to slip into his opinion, rather than "facts", much to the ire of one angry, completely out of order, Mackem). Top day, would definitely recommend.

Tour guide Paul was considerate, entertaining and knowledgeable as was Sam our driver. Unable to make the most of the Causeway. Extremely long delay for the loo, cost our time there. Also need to consider pressure on shuttle bus to get back for the coach. Enjoyable travel and the team very kindly dropped us at the Titanic Centre on the way back with time to visit the exhibition too!

Few hiccups, pick up was around the corner from where we were intended to be picked up. 2 of 3 stops were cancelled which was disappointing. The guide was funny and helpful, but the kids definitely learned a few new words... I think tourism is growing a bit too fast right now and the UK is struggling to keep pace. Overall, worth going.

The Giant’s Causeway was memorable but the whole trip Would have been better if we had more time there and cut out the overpriced unsatisfying lunch and the Game of Thrones section. On top of that, the bus was over an hour late w no notice given as to when it was coming. It felt rushed.

Schedule not as described - disappointing

From the off we knew we were to be rushed as our driver told (as if it were a positive) that we’d get back to Belfast around 16:15 well before our advertised finish time of 17:00 We were supposed to walk down to Carrick-a-rede rope ridge but were told once onboard with the coach doors shut that our guide had cancelled last minute so the driver would do his best to give us info (which he did his best but think I’d rather a driver concentrate on driving) and that because the coach can’t fit under the carpark height restriction to the rope bridge we’d only be doing a “drive by” but not to worry we could take a photo from the roadside - really? We hadn’t expect the coach to take us to the rope bridge as the days itinerary clearly said we’d need to walk a 1km each way with the schedule allowing us an hour & half to do just that but instead again on we were rushed - get back in the coach we need to get to the causeway so “I can give you as long as I can there” The Giant Causeway was a beautiful sight and experience which made it all the more disappointing that we weren’t given longer there but instead a little over an hour so we could get on the coach to be taken to a nearby cafe for us to buy a lunch as a captive market. The food was nice enough and service quick and pleasant but from a limited menu that we weren’t expecting and arguably many in our group didn’t want why were we missing out potential time spent doing what we had signed up and paid for.

Got to the pickup spot well in advance, but there was no bus nor representative of the company. Ten of us were waiting. A few received an email saying trip was cancelled due to driver getting covid. (How convenient). The ten of us went to several other tour site trying to book a last-minute tour. Finally, four of us had a cab driver take us there and back at a much higher price. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE! Am now attempting to get refund. This is the first time Viator has ever let me down, after years of use.

Beware of Paddywagon tour provider

The tour destinations were worth seeing. Our tour provider Paddywagon, transported us in a 30 year old city bus which was not very comfortable. The tour guide was not very professional. The bus lacked a PA system so we had difficulty hearing anything he had to say from the back. Lastly we were looking forward to crossing over the swinging bridge. Our driver said that we couldn’t go there because it was closed. However, he took us to an overlook view of the bridge and sure enough there were people walking the bridge. It’s my opinion the company overbooked our tour and threw our accommodations together at the last minute. The company has nice coach buses, unfortunately our group of eight got short changed!
