It was a great experience!! Absolutely amazing to actually walk where the Mayans has!! Our guide, Goldbern, was very knowledgeable and we felt as if we had known him forever. He didn’t make it uncomfortable at all!!! Great guide and great tour!! I would definitely recommend over cruise line excursion that was same price but a bus load of people

We had a wonderful day and the tour was perfect in all ways. Our tour guide really adjusted the tour to our personal preferences and the day couldn't have been any better. The tour guide was flexible and agreed to multiple pick-up locations. He was knowledgeable about the country, the environment, the history....he answered all our questions. He offered suggestions to extra stops and sights and allowed us to choose which ones we would prefer to visit. He also ensured that we were dropped off on time for the last ferry of the day to return to Ambergris Caye. He was a true gentleman and a very pleasant and friendly person to spend the day with. The only challenge was communicating through the Viator website to set up the details for this tour. Email and requests were never answered. Luckily, the front desk staff at the hotel were so kind to call the tour operator directly and finalize the details for us.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was indeed a private tour for just the two of us- wow!. Even at Altun Ha, we had a private tour just for the two of us-- we felt pretty special. I saw other passengers from our ship arrive at Altun Ha in a huge bus on a tour coordinated by the cruise line and they had only one guide for the 40 or so tourists who went that route. My friend and I were so happy we chose this private tour. Our driver/guide is extremely knowledgeable and provided interesting facts and information throughout our tour. He showed us many areas of Belize City and we enjoyed every minute. We felt so lucky that our NCL ship brought us offshore at Belize City and we were tendered to shore because we discovered that many NCL cruises now dock at the NCL private island some distance from Belize City.

Our Driver, Elvis, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly - pointing out all the things only a local would know ask him about Queen Elizabeth's special meal when she came to the island - hilarious!. The Altun Ha ruins were truly amazing - and it was nice to know that they were the ruins of an ancient marketplace instead of a religious ruin. Overall - a great value and we had a blast. Highly recommend this tour.

Our guide was on time and friendly...with lots of knowledge of Belize City. He pointed out many landmarks and shared the history about those buildings as we made our way safely thru the city. The drive to the ruins gave us time to learn about each other and hear more about the culture of Belize. Gerson, our guide was able to share much history with just the 2 of us, on this trip to Altun. Because we were just 2 people with 1 guide, we had the freedom to go on our own path, while being informed of the uses and meaning behind the arcitecture and carvings of the ruins,. I would book this trip again and recommend Gerson as your travel guide,
