To make your way to the ancient Mayan ruins, you have to hop on a hand-cranked ferry for a ride over. Once at the site of Xunantunich, take time to explore the area. Climb to the top of the El Castillo pyramid for views of the surrounding lush jungle. These Mayan ruins used to be a Mayan ceremonial center and were first opened to the public in 1954.
After resting for lunch, your group then sets off on a hike through the rainforest. Your hike ends when you reach the mouth of a cave in Belize. Once all the excitement of the day is over, take a ride back to your hotel in Belize City.
