This live-guided tour of the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum ushers visitors through authentically restored tea ships and traditional Boston museum exhibits. This floating museum provides the opportunity to explore and learn about the people, events, and consequences that led up to the American Revolution—all in the order in which they occurred back in 1773. Get a sense of what life was like in 18th-century Boston.

At the Meeting House, hear the story of the night of December 16, 1773, and get ready to dump tea alongside the patriots. Explore two authentically restored tea ships—the Eleanor and the Beaver.

Inside the museum, see the Robinson Half Chest, one of only two original tea chests that was dumped into the Boston Harbor that night.

My family learned how the Boston tea party started . We also experienced the sacrifices the patriots made to stop being the subjects of the tyrant King George . The video portion of the museum was excellent

Rude gift shop workers…
Priscilla_P
, Aug 2022
It is my option that if you want to do any shopping in the gift shop then don’t go to the last tour at 5pm due to the gift shop closing promptly @ 6pm. And they are rude about getting you to leave .

The whole experience was incredible! The museum had a short film that was very informative. The museum items on display were beautiful. The story behind the tea box on display … we’ll visit to hear it ! The tour guide and staff are dressed for the time period. Super fun day ! One of the best gift shops in Boston.

A gentleman who portrayed Mr. WHITE was so helpful. He went above and beyond by answering my questions and getting me extra information. Also, the actor portraying Mr. ADAMS did an incredible job. Everyone was so friendly and gracious. I learned so much new information. The tea and scones were delicious.

I want to go again! The one-hour interactive experience was insanely amazing! Historical interpreters that were entertaining and well-informed! Time to throw over tea crates. Talking portraits with a debate between King George III and Sam Adams. And one of the original crates from the Boston Tea Party. All this and more. What an incredible experience. I want to bring it back virtually to my fifth grade students in California. Bravo!
