Your tour will begin with pickup at your hotel in Bratislava. Your guide will drive you to the city center, providing an introduction of the region's rich history as you go.
Arrive in Bratislava’s Old Town to explore the brightly-colored buildings of the Main Square and the Old Town Hall, dating back to the 15th-century. Admire St Michael’s Gate, the only remaining medieval tower gate in the city.
Afterward, walk to the Primatial Square, home to the neoclassical Primatial Palace (Primaciálny Palác). If it’s open on the day of your tour, head inside to see the interior artwork and famed Hall of Mirrors.
Follow your guide past the Reduta building, home of the Slovak Philharmonic, to St Martin’s Cathedral, where coronations for 11 Austro-Hungarian monarchs took place. Hop back in the car and continue to sightsee, driving past Bratislava Castle, the Presidential Palace and the Slavín War Memorial. Your tour will conclude with drop-off back at your hotel.
If you choose to upgrade your ticket, continue your tour with a visit to Devín Castle. Drive 10 minutes outside of the city to see the incredible ruins of this 8th-century castle, perched above the rivers of the Morava and Danube. Explore the museum independently at your own expense and learn how it was destroyed in 1809 by Napoleon’s army. Soak up the panoramic views and refuel with a snack or drink (own expense) at one of the eateries, if you wish. Afterward, you’ll reunite with your guide, who will provide drop-off back at your hotel.
