Great tour of two beautiful cities
Rebecca_W
, Aug 2022
This was a great tour. The guide, Stefan, was witty and knowledgeable and packed a lot of sites and information into a one-day tour. He told us at the outset that we would be "tired but happy" at the end of the day, and he was right. The tour is a great value for the price.

Love the boat ride although it's too hot during summer and too many people. Visited this place before during December before and weather was cool.

Albert the Great
MAURICE_T
, Aug 2022
Our guide Albert was knowledgeable, friendly, hard-working and conscientious. The bus was comfortable, with adequate leg room. For further improvement, the tour could offer: 1) free water bottles onboard (especially during hot days, such as the day of our trip); 2) plug-ins on the bus for phone charging; 3) payment facilities for credit cards to pay for the boat trip. Unfortunately, on the day of our trip, there was a traffic accident on the expressway, so we took slower, secondary roads, and so our tour of Bruges was cut short.

Would not recommend.

Horrible, we were behind schedule waiting for a family in Ghent, so our guide gave us 45 minutes for a sit down lunch and advised we just get a sandwich or salad, which we did, at the place she recommended. We were 12 minutes late for the rendezvous point and missed the entire guided tour of Bruges. We spent half an hour trying to find them, she hadn’t given us any advance notice on where to meet the bus to return to Brussels, so then we wasted more time frantically contacting the tour company. Very stressful.

Beautiful Bruges and Ghent
Janine_M
, Aug 2022
Bruges and Ghent are beautiful places to visit. Bruges is particularly large and beautiful. My only complaint is the guide could have given more historical information but that’s only a minor issue. It’s a very long day and a lot of walking.

Enjoyable day

I would recommend this trip. Our guide, Deitrick knew a great deal about the history of each of the sites. We would have appreciated some interesting stories, the dialog was very heavy on dates and facts. Happily he walked at a comfortable pace. Be aware that if you decide to add the canal cruise in Bruges that you are squished in like sardines and it is difficult to get any good photos without other passenger heads in your view.

My family and I enjoyed learning about Bruges’ and Ghent’s history. We had time to explore on our own and even tried some Belgian waffles and local dishes such as pork cheek. We had an amazing tour guide and would definitely join again.

Amazing customer service!

Albert(our guide) was so knowledgeable and helpful. We got enough time to enjoy both towns. Very well planned itenerary. On our way back, another bus from the same travel company broke down on the highway. Albert immediately asked the driver of our bus to pull over so he could help the stranded passengers. Their AC vent on the bus roof had to be secured and he promptly climbed up and fixed it and within 10 mins we were on our way back to Brussels. I would recommend this day trip! Did I mention that they readily moved our tour date to the next day since we couldn't get to Brussels the previous day due to train cancelations. Overall amazing customer service 👌 👏

Not A Good Tour
James_M
, Aug 2022
This was a bad experience. The tour guide had to do 2 languages and moved fast through the areas. In order to do any pictures you had to move away from the group. At one time we had to wait for someone to catch up because they were not staying with the group, this same person had the whole group wait an extra 1/2 hour to leave because she left the group to supposedly to have to do something with passport/immigration the last few minutes of the tour and Laura allowed her. This should of been taken care of instead of her going on the boat ride. Laura finally went to look for her and when she arrived back at the bus she had numerous bags that she did not have when she left the group. We were told if you were not back in time that the bus would leave. This was an inconvenience to the rest of the group. I understand being a few minutes late but a half hour is ridiculous. Laura gave here phone number in case anybody needed her and this person should of contacted her and we should not have had to wait the extra half hour sitting on the bus.

Big disappointment
Laura_C
, Aug 2022
This tour has such great reviews but our experience was not great. Our tour guide was incredibly dry and impersonal. He gave lists of facts but did not capture our attention or imagination. The tour was bilingual in english and french, which made it last twice as long, leaving very little "free time" to explore the cities. We literally spent all the free time we had in Ghent (<30 mins) running around trying to find a cup of coffee. On the plus side the bus was very comfortable and we did get to see both cities in one day. The cities are amazing and not to be missed. Do yourself a favor and book your own transportation to Bruges and just spend the day there on your own starting early and/or staying late to avoid the crowds. It's such a beautiful town and it was a shame to be rushed around.
