just simply wonderful

a great day, our pick up time was confirmed by our tour guide, Ayman, was picked up right on time, and Ayman was so friendly, knowledgable, informative, and talked to us in advance about the whole day and explained everything. Information was given right before different places we were about to visit so we could relate more to what we were about to observe. Overall a great experience and most definitely highly recommended.
great and convenient tour

The tour was ok, and the tour guide was nice - she was quite chatty and spoke English well. Spent quite a lot of the time talking to the driver instead of us but the drive to Alexandria isn't particuarly interesting so perhaps she didn't have anything to comment on. She took us to the catacombs which were cool - be warned though, there are a lot of steps down to them! It was quite mindblowing that there is paint that still exists after all this time. The citadel was beautiful but as we were left to walk around ourselves, without any sort of commentary, we felt like we'd missed the important factor of it being one of the wonders of the world! Pompey's pillar was quite random really and didn't particuarly interest us. The library is impressive but it's just that...a library. Without actually using it for study, just walking around it was pretty boring. The interactive things were cool but not necessarily something I'd travel 2 hours to see! Lunch was nice, in a nice beachside setting but not really very impressive - it was just a buffet lunch with some bbq'd meat which took a long time to arrive. It's a few hours drive to get to Alexandria from Cairo and I'm not sure that I'd consider the things at the end of the trip worth it.

I have to say our driver and guide Mohamed Salah wer great, making sure we were ok and if we needed anything. Traffic got bad at one point and they were very calm and talkative. I personally was not impressed with the city itself, but for a trip of two hours the places picked to visit were good, the food they picked was good and the personal touches Mohamed put on the trip made it worth it.

This was the second of three day tours that my husband and I took with Emo Tours through Viator and we were very pleased with the outcome. Tito was our guide and he did a phenomenal job with explaining everything and giving us lots of history! He was a veritable font of knowledge! Answering all our questions and if he didn't know an an answer was honest enough to say so as opposed to making something up. He was easy going and let us go at our pace. Our driver was Saeed, and he was amazing! Egypt drivers are nuts and Saeed navigated the traffic expertly! Got us to all our locations safely! I would definitely recommend Emo Tours and Tito and Saeed in particular.

Awesome trip. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wishing to see what Egypt has to offer. The trip was made even better by having a knowledgeable tour guide along. Unfortunately, this day was a holiday and the library closed early and we did not get a chance to visit it.

Gouda, Our tour guide was awesome! He was so accommodating and informative. We were picked up on time. We saw all the sites as listed in the itinerary. We had an amazing lunch at a fresh fish restaurant on the water.

Long Drive from Cairo to Alexandria...
, Mar 2018
Long Drive from Cairo to Alexandria but the newly constructed motorway is very good. However on arriving at Alexandria the same old type of poor road service and system awaits. Whilst the Catacombs and the Library are both worth a visit particularly the latter the temple and the lighthousenon-existent are a waste of time. Think carefully about spending 6 hours travelling for relatively little of great interest. The guide was well versed but obviously tired having started very early and slept most of the way there and back. Not really worth around 100 for a couple.
