Frustrating

was definitely expecting more. Maybe too much, What was seen was interesting, catacombs, Fortress, roman amphytheater. Library was closed due to COVID, Guide should have informed previously and suggested an alternative stop. Just move through the streets to achieve the points but have not seen anything beautiful in Alexandria. Would not repeat and not advice!

Yasser made the day enjoyable although most of it is spent in the car driving to and from Alexandria. We saw all we wanted to see.

Great tour. The guide, Ayman, contacted me in advance to confirm pickup details. He was extremely knowledgeable and eager to share the history of Egypt and the places we visited in Alexandria. Our driver Ahmed was probably one of the most polite people I have ever met. The trip consisted of 4 attractions, entrance fees and lunch were included. I recommend this trip to female solo travellers as the way the tour is organised makes you feel very safe and always looked after.

Tour cancelled due to weather conditions.

The tour was cancelled due to weather conditions. A storm was expected on the Mediterranean. The tour company came personally to inform us of the cancellation and assisted us in traveling to our next night's hotel.

Alexandria in a Day
Mark v

Traveling to Alexandria from Cairo makes for a long day. 3 hours each way across a pretty barren desert. When you get to Alexandria you find a large, congested and sometimes dirty port town with some significant historical attractions. From the catacomb burial grounds to the excavated Roman Forum your guide will walk you through some of Alexandria's ancient city. A stop at the Qaitbay Citadel teaches you about Alexadria's important maritime history. Here you will find the location which was once an ancient wonder of the world, the Alexandria Lighthouse. Your guide will show you the exact spot. After a nice lunch by the sea, its off to one last stop and a part of Alexandria's modern history the massive Alexandria Library. Opened in 2002 this library follows in the footsteps of the ancient Alexandria which was once one of the largest in the world. Doing Alexandria with a guide and driver is the way to go if its only for one day. There are too many moving parts to include the drive which seems to me to cry out for a tour. Most all tour prices in Egypt are reasonable. Thanks to my guide Mohamed Mekawy for a great day in one of Egypt's most significant places.

Great time in Alexandria

This was a private tour. Menna and Rami were my guide and driver. Their service was excellent and on time. After a 2.5 hr drive from Cairo, we went to the main attractions where I learned a lot from my guide. Menna and Rami went above and beyond helping me find a power converter in Cairo after we returned from Alexandria. They drove to multiple stores for about an hour and a half looking for it, until we finally found one. They also helped me purchase a train ticket I could buy from the US. I would not have been able to do this on my own since the employees at the train stations don't speak English. I had a great time and company in Alexandria.

This was our first trip to Egypt and...

This was our first trip to Egypt and our first time to Alexandria. Our tour guide Abdel Houba was awesome! He gave us an all day tour of the city and was very knowledgeable about the history of the city. We saw all of the sites, and felt overwhelmed with the history of the cata comb. When booking this tour ask for, Abdel Wahab El Tamimy or his nickname is Houba, you won't be disappointed.
