Chechen Itza is worth the ride

Really good tour. It’s a long day but the guides are great. Frank, Rodrigo and our driver Francisco did a fantastic job. Rodrigo was our guide at Chechen Itza. He was so informative and you could tell how much he loved giving the tour. It was a great experience. The only downside is that it takes a long time to do all of the pickups in the morning, like an hour and a half. After that it was smooth sailing. Drop offs don’t take as long.

Good Experience

It was a very interesting tour, I must emphasize that our guide Super Frank knows a lot about this culture, and we learned a lot about Chichen Itza and the Mayan culture. We made a stop in Valladolid, a small city with a lot of history; and also, the visit to the Cenote was the complement of the whole tour, and of course the food and Tequila tasting was great. Also, the bus that transported us was very comfortable and Mr. Roger was an excellent driver.

My family and I had a brilliant time with our tour guide Freddy and driver Javier. Freddy was enthusiastic to share his knowledge with us and Javier made us feel safe during our entire tour. We thoroughly enjoyed each stop and Were given enough time to fully enjoy each location. Each vendor, guide, and park employee we met throughout our tour treated us very well and seemed to be very excited welcome our tourism.

Unforgettable experience, and tour guide

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this trip. We had so much fun. We stayed at Playa del Carmen in an air bnb but the tour bus was able to pick us up at a hotel that was about a 10 minute walk from us. I booked this tour over the phone because I was having trouble booking it online. The operator sends you an email confirmation of your booking first before you pay to make sure everything is correct. There was a little bit of confusion regarding the pick up spot but I sent amigo tours a message through viator after booking and they were able to clear it up. Our tour guide was Vincent and our driver was paquito. I really liked Vincent he was so funny and knowledgeable I am so happy he was our tour guide. He speaks both and English and Spanish and the tour is available in both languages when you get there. He also took some awesome pictures of us for Memories he knows the best spots. Buffet was amazing, tequila tasting was awesome and the cenote is a once in a lifetime experience!!! Tour bus picks you Up between 6-7 AM and lasts about 12 hrs. Chichén is about 2.5 hours away but because the tour starts early, you will be back just in time for dinner in the city. Some recommendations: 1. bring extra water and sun screen. 2. DO NOT drink too much the day before, it is very hot in Chichén Itzá i am sure it would be a regrettable experience hungover lol 3. Bring snackies for the road. You won’t be able to eat until about noon. 4. Don't forget to bring cash to tip the tour guide and the driver. :) it is common courtesy in Mexico to tip. It’s also nice to give them a tip because this is an all day trip. 5. Book it ASAP :)

A full day of fun

Frank our tour guide was awesome, enthusiastic, and kind and was amazing at translating for the English speakers on board. Pablo was a fantastic driver and we made it promptly to our destinations each time and he always had the bus nice and cool for us when we got back from each stop. It is a long day out and about, but since there is so much to do on the trip we definitely expected it! We purchased the VIP tickets and got round trip transportation to and from our hotel which was really helpful and worth the extra few bucks. Frank made sure everyone was evenly divided in English/Spanish speaking groups so that we were all able to get personalized Chichen Itza tours which was great! Lunch in the Mayan hotel was nice, just beware of the gift shop because they ended up charging us over $150 USD for 4 tiny souvenirs (ouch). Valladolid was absolutely beautiful and it was so nice to get there early in the morning and have the city to ourselves practically, so cool to see such a beautiful and colorful authentic Mexican city. The Cenote was awesome as well and very refreshing for the end of the day but FYI- it was very packed when we arrived so be cautious and wear your masks as much as possible until you get to the water! Overall the trip was fantastic and I’ve never done a tour that has been able to show us that much in one day! I definitely recommend it:)

An absolutely amazing trip. Freddy made the entire trip fun and interesting. The bus ride is long but Freddy keeps you engaged with facts about chichen itza. Then Rodrigo was our guide when we got there and we definitely had the best guide! Would do again just for him.

A magical & breathtaking day

Vicente & Rodrigo were our tourist guides. Pakito was our bus driver. We highly recommend all of them. It was a quite calm and enjoyable ride to chichén itzà , the yucatan cenote & the local restaurant. Pakito took care of the sanitary part, as he always offered sanitazer as soon as we got into the bus. He drove so smooth that one easily falls asleep. Vicente was entertaining and very informative about the Mayan Culture during our ride to Chichén Itzà. He talked a lot but is was very interactive as he asked a lot of questions which was a nice way of learning about another culture. He was very well organized and one could feel that he loves his job!! The best part about the tour was Rodrigo!! He was an English tourist guide who touched our heart with his way of seeing and transmitting his knowledge. One sees that Rodrigo was at home! He perfectly knew what he was talking about and one could see that he was proud to be from the Mayan culture. His was of guiding was enriching and he takes the perfect pictures as he knows all the angles that are in one‘s favor. If you want to experience a breathtaking, magical and unforgettable moment to Chichén Itzà you have to book the door with these people. They are beautiful souls who share they culture with their whole heart. The energy at this places with them was real.

No show pick up
Alexis_S
, Jul 2021
I'm sure this trip would be nice, but unfortunately our tour guide never showed up. We purchased the meeting point option, instead of being directly picked up at our hotel. I was told where my pick up point would be a month in advance (10 min drive away from the hotel at 6:50 am) but then then noone showed up, because they had decided to pick up us up at the hotel instead, with a LESS than 24 hr notice (I'm in a different country with spotty WiFi and was told differently for an entire month) . I was refused a refund nor offered a rescheduling despite the lack of proper communication on the companies part. So be weary when booking this trip.
