Don't buy tix on Viator

We bought tix on Viator with hopes to make the process easier in this covid world. Little did we know it would complicate the entire process. Upon entering we were told the tickets were issued by a "third party" and that we would have to take a photo of each of the tickets and email them to the field museum. As with many museums and the brick walls, cell service was lacking. After about 10 minutes the clerk gave up and gave us tickets to get in.

Thank you visiting The Field and supporting the Museum in these unusual times. We very much appreciate your support. We are sorry to hear that you had a less than optimal experience with the entry and redemption process at the front desk. We have spoken with our Guest Relations staff leadership and they in turn have brought the issue to the daily GR staff meeting for training clarification. The process should have been more smooth and we will work to make sure it is in the future. Thank you for alerting us to your experience.

My wife and I really enjoyed the exhibitions, very life like, and very real. It had more scenes then I thought, with three floors, it was a lot to take in.

I would never go on a free admission...

I would never go on a free admission for Illinois residents day......it was so packed, it was hard to see much. And all but one 3D movie was sold out, so we didn't have a choice on which one to see. The parking was an absolute mess, but there was an auto show just on the other side of Soldier Field, so we say in line just to park for over half an hour. Other than that, it's a great museum with lots to see from all around the world. Great interactive things to do as well. Just pick your day wisely!
