Beware!

BEWARE - This SCUBA operator was not able to fulfill the service as they did not inform us that the dive trip was only available to those staying in Cozumel (and we were staying in Playa Del Carmen directly across the bay). We provided all information (including location) as part of the original booking - but they only informed us they could not fulfill dive service the day before outing. We tried to be flexible and move our schedule around to do an alternate day - but after much back and forth (continually asking for pickup location) we were told the morning of the SCUBA outing they could not provide us the agreed upon transportation to the hotel - and we missed thar outing as well. Now they are refusing to refund us. We had a number of great outings and tours in the area - and all of the were excellent - this one however is one to avoid.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We booked an 8 hr scuba trip in Cozumel for 5 people, which was supposed to be the highlight of our week long stay in Playa del Carmen. All the details of transportation weren’t clear on the booking site and as none of us were familiar with the area, we trusted to the pros to handle the logistics. During our booking you had to choose your resort from a drop down menu. Which was impossible as we were staying in a condo, so instead we manually typed in the address of our condo in Playa del Carmen. Everything booked just fine and we received confirmation of our booking. The morning prior to our scheduled scuba trip we were contacted to confirm which resort we were staying in. We again provided the name and address of the condo in Playa del Carmen. At which time we were informed that transportation from Playa del Carmen was impossible and that even the earliest ferry wouldn’t get us there on time. We had no idea we would need to arrange for transportation nor that a ferry was the only option. No where on the booking site is there any information regarding how or where to get to the scuba tour, only that transportation is included. The booking agent we dealt with apologized and admitted they had made a mistake in not noticing that we were staying in Playa del Carmen rather than Cozumel. We were offered an alternative scuba trip in Playa del Carmen on the following day and with only one tank dive rather than the planned 2, however they would provide the transportation. We accepted the offer despite this moving our scuba trip perilously close to our flight and we wouldn’t have two dives, we understood that mistakes happen and we were still super excited to go. We had been on 3 other tours including a boat trip out to snorkeling on the reef with Dressel Divers and had such an amazing time, we were sure the issues with the scuba trip could be figured out. The booking agent again asked for the address of the resort where we were staying. Once again, we gave the name and address of the CONDO that we were staying at as well as an alternate pickup location where we had met drivers from the other tours. Once again we received a text stating that transportation couldn’t be provided as they didn’t know where to pick us up and that we would need to arrange a taxi. By this time we were convinced that we were dealing with a very unprofessional and incompetent organization. In a location where every other organization we dealt with were courteous, professional, and extremely helpful... this one stands out as a real stinker. Buyer beware- Playa del Carmen and Cozumel have many well run dive services. I would advise you chose one of those and steer clear of this one.
