Overview

Rethymno’s many artisan food producers present the perfect opportunity to explore the fresh, seasonal and often plant-based cuisine of Crete. Although poor quality fare is uncommon in Rethymno, if your time on Crete is limited you’ll want to focus in on the best Cretan food in town. This tour combines Rethymno’s culinary and historic heritage to provide you with an introduction as relaxed and simple as life here.
  • Try local pies, Greek coffee, kantaifi and baklava
  • Enjoy historic styles of Cretan wine, or try organic microbrewed beer
  • Confidently shop for local products with the help of your guide
  • Finish this tour with free time to explore the Fortezza of Rethymno

Enjoyable morning.

Great way to spend the morning. Started with coffee and ended with meze with Greek donuts and local beer in between. Hara took us through the narrow lanes of Rethymnon to local places we wouldn't have found ourselves. She gave us some suggestions of restaurants to try during our stay and shops that sell the best local produce. Thanks Hara for a wonderful morning.

Dear Kate, Thank you for this beautiful review on the Gastronomy tour we had together! We always love to show our guests the hidden parts of Rethymno and we are glad that you loved them as much as we do :) We hope to see you again in the near future and to enjoy more experiences together.
