  • Brief History of Machu Picchu & Advice: Machu Picchu was (relatively recently) "discovered" by American historian, Hiram Bingham, in 1911 while searching for the legendary "lost city of the Incas". Hiram Bingham and his local guides stumbled across the site which was then covered in thick vegetation which was later cleared revealing the magical mountain-top archaeological site and opening up the possibility for archaeologists to conduct research on the site by 1915. Whether arriving via Inca Trail or entering from Aguas Calientes don't miss the excellent photo opportunities from the following spots: Hut of the Caretaker of the Funerary Rock (a restored building with a thatched roof), Sacred Plaza with views of the Cordillera Vilcabamba in the distance and Rio Urubamba below. Take a short walk out to the Inca Drawbridge (30 minutes) and Inti Punku (45 - 60 minutes) for great views of the site as dawn breaks and the clouds lift over Machu Picchu.
  • DON'T FORGET THE ESSENTIALS: Original passport, visa (if applicable), insurance card, personal medications.

Don't do it during coronavirus. Not worth it. The activities are limited. I was not able to get my money's worth

I am very sorry that you had a bad experience and you were not able to get your money's worth. We always refund the activities that are not available due to COVID or any other reason, please reach out to us and we will help you out. The other situation that happened is that we are having a new president, and the situation in Peru with the protests didn't help the operation of the tour. Please understand that with Coronavirus things are super uncertain, and we do our best to make sure the experience runs as planned. I am sorry that this didn't work out for you as you had expected.

it is a good trip overall. fist day was biking and rafting. hotel clean but no hot water. the room was hot so I have to open the window to face the mosquito. fortunately very few came to bite me. the second day was hiking. very good. the hotel was no good, smell bad and no hot water. consider where we are it might be the best solution. the third day was ziplining. it is one of the best. the hotel is very nice and food is good. the most important is our guide and he is very good. His name is junior and he made the trip to be a lot better.

This trip was amazing - would definitely recommend! The views were beautiful, everything was arranged smoothly, and the rooms were practical (if you want to stay at boutique hotels, don't sign up for a jungle adventure lol). The food was good and our guide Junior was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond.

We went with Bamba Experience and absolutely loved our trip! Our guide, Pabel Pomalaza, was so fun, knowledgeable and did everything to ensure we had the best trip! All the hotels we stayed in and meals we had were amazing and perfect for a traveling couple! We loved that everything was included such as the hotels, meals, the biking and rafting, and the company took care of all our bus and train tickets and ensured someone was at the train station to take us to our hostel on the return trip. We are very thankful for the professional care this company gave us! The cost of the trip was totally worth it!

I recently experienced this 4 day jungle adventure and it exceeded my expectations. It started off with an amazing, intelligent guide, Vincent Chacmana. We had a group of six ranging from teenagers to adults and he was attentive and included everyone. During the 4 days, there were many challenges, and Vincent would come to the aid to anyone that was apprehensive and he would turn into your biggest supporter. He is gifted not only on the trail, but is a genuine special, kind person. You could see along the 4 days when we would stop in towns, snack shacks and hostels how everyone greeted him so warmly. At the end of the 4 days not only was it hard to say good bye to Vincent, but to also my new friends from my group I made along the way. If you book this excursion, ask for Vincent, you will not be disappointed!

A very nicely balanced program in a 4 day adventure. Our guide Rodrigo was very knowledgeable about everything from plants, wildlife, and the History about the Inka's and local area. The meals were great, and the accommodations were basic but sufficient. Tips: Wear long pants for the hiking and zip-lining, as there can be some mosquito's by the ground. Generally a very nice trip - good value for money:
