The BEST way to do Rainbow Mountain

This experience was truly a highlight of our trip to Peru! From start to finish, Artur was well organized and had excellent communication. He picked us up directly from our hotel at 4am, where we drove to a nice buffet breakfast, and then to the ATVs. He gave us a full tutorial and made sure we were comfortable using them before taking off. He offered to take plenty of pictures of my boyfriend and I at scenic spots with the ATV and it was so appreciated. Honestly I don’t know which I enjoyed more- the ATV ride or Rainbow Mountain itself! The views on the way there were incredible, and we were the only ones on the road. A huge plus is that this to takes you right to the base of the mountain, whereas all the bus tours have to park/hike far away. Artur was so patient and kind when I wasn’t feeling well due to the altitude. He had oxygen and made sure I was OK before continuing! At the top of the mountain, he held on to our backpacks for us so we could explore and take pictures. After, we rode the ATVs back and drove to the same restaurant for a buffet style lunch- it was fantastic! Then he and his driver took us right back to our hotel, which I am so grateful for because we were staying in a place with streets so narrow many taxis refuse to go there. Overall this was the most amazing experience and I couldn’t recommend it more! THANK YOU ARTUR!

ATV experience was the pot of gold at the end of the Rainbow Mountain

The whole experience was amazing and worth waking up at 3:00 am for. We were picked up at our hotel and after a 3 hour drive we were treated to a Peruvian breakfast with tea, local bread, a delicious omelette and pancake. Most of us were unprepared for how cold it was, despite Artura stressing that we needed to be prepared for the cold weather. We could purchase cheap warm clothes which worked. Note the ATV drivers get warm gloves so need need to purchase gloves. A quick lesson on how to use the ATV and we were off on a spectacular journey to rainbow mountain. The hike to the mountain is strenuous but doable but I chickened out and took a horse. Of course seeing rainbow mountain with one side blanketed in snow was awe inspiring. On the way back the Peruvian lunch was delicious and allowed for 2nds and 3rds. It was a journey to remember! Thanks.
