Nice Tour

Blacksmith and Loughcrew Cairns Would have been nice if more time was alloted at the Trim Castle and the blacksmith tour. Also, an entry to the tombs/access to Newgrange would have been nice.

The knowledge from our guide, sorry, don’t remember his name, older guy, was amazing. Very informative. He was a great driver too. Paced the day out beautifully. He was very kind to an older woman with mobility issues. One of the highlights of the day was having a drink and chat with some locals in the little pub in Fore - population, 13. Yep, 13!

This is a great tour! Finn was a knowledgeable and fun guide/driver, with a wealth of knowledge, and very personable and approachable. Beautiful countryside, stunning history, and wonderful local people all along the way. This is the Ireland I was hoping to see, and we saw it!

The trip was cancelled due to “technical difficulties “. We were so disappointed to have missed it. Then you send me a request to review it. 😞

Loved Every Minute!

The tour was very interesting and informative, Derek was an excellent guide and even guided us back into Dublin with a song. The weather was beautiful and we loved learning about the history of each place visited, as well as Ireland as a whole. The view from Loughcrew was gorgeous, however it is a bit of a climb so be ready for some uphill walking and wear waterproof shoes just in case!

Experience the deep history of Ireland. From the very ancient times to more recent times.

, Jun 2022
This trip is a good way to experience the ancient history of Ireland as well as the more recent times. Beautiful scenery. Very well informed guide. It is a very long day and there is a significant amount of time spent out in the open so dress well for the elements. I recommend this experience.

The views from Loughcrew were magnificent. Our tour guide Rudy was great about pointing out the sites and ruins, as well as answering our questions. The Fore Abbey was a delightful end to the trip, with the views and nearby café being a highlight.

Tour was cancelled…at the LAST minute

, May 2022
I was looking forward to this experience especially after reading the book, Ireland, which talks about the “origins” of Newcastle and other mounds in the Boyne Valley. The day before the tour while in Ireland, Viator called and said it was cancelled. I was in line at that moment to see The Book of Kells and was asked what else would I like to see. I couldn’t troubleshoot about an alternate not knowing anything about the choices. Tried calling back later and got an answer machine. Disappointed that it was cancelled at the last minute.

The tour was a bit long winded, but we saw some pretty places. I booked three tours for this trip, and think that seeing Powerscourt Gardens was prettier and closer to Dublin! Still had a good time and a good guide

one day before the tour was postponed, and the next day nobody comes to the pick up point without any notice. I have never had before such a awful insulting experience.

Beautiful tour, just dress warm and be prepared for hills and high winds!

, May 2022
This was a lovely tour of the Irish countryside and small towns to the northeast of Dublin. Definitely wear hiking boots, warm clothes and a windbreaker, there are strong winds at the top of the Hill of Tara and at the Loughcrew Cairns! But they are well worth the hike to see and learn about the ancient history of this beautiful land. Seeing a little bit of the small towns close by and along the way was nice too.

Perfect way to explore rural parts of Ireland
Ninnoc_W
, May 2022
We had a very nice day. There was a perfect balance between guided parts of the tour and moments where we had the freedom to explore on our own. Our guide Derek made the trip even more delightful, with his fun stories and infectious enthousiasm. We hardly recommend this tour.

It was an interesting tour and the guide was very entertaining. All places where we stopped were great except for the last one. Although, I normally like abbeys, I felt that there was some sort of sadness in those walls.

This tour is excellent for those interested in the ancient history of Ireland. However, it is very physically challenging. A lot of hiking and climbing.
