Great day in Belfast

Barry did a terrific job when faced with snafus with a faulty bus door and some black taxi miscalculations.

Poor organization. No tour guide on the bus.

, Aug 2022
There was no tour guide just a bus driver. He barely said a word in 13 hours. Boarding was a nightmare. We were asked to meet at a certain location. There were hundreds of people there in the pouring rain. A guy wandered the crowd asking where we were going. No ID. No company logo. He then marched us down 5 blocks in the pouring rain to where the bus was parked. No identifiable marking or number on the bus so finding it at busy stops was a nightmare. The bus was so small my knees hit the seat in front. Im 5'4". We were 30 minutes late leaving. Each stop a time limit was given but not enforced. The driver had no idea where food venues or washrooms were at each stop. We wandered aimlessly on our own. He only gave his name at the very end of the tour but it was missed by most. I blame the tour company not the driver. A tour guide was promised but not presented. He was a good driver.

Giants causeway was spectacular and we got to Belfast with enough time to take the last hop-on-hop off tour around the city and listen to a bit of jazz. Would have liked to stay in Belfast a couple more hours and get back later.

Nothing.. Speaker had no knowledge of any of the stops.. didn’t even see the first 2 as nobody had clue where to go.. At Causeway we couldn’t access Visitor Centre because we weren’t provided tickets. And no warning from your the distance to the rocks.. should be ashamed you charge for this tour if all your guides are this bad..

Great way to see Northern Ireland in a day
Dominic_G
, Jul 2022
There was a lot packed into this trip but it was a great way to see Northern Ireland in a day. We visited the Dark Hedges, Giant's Causway, and Belfast city. The highlight for me was the Giant's Causway. The coach journey, whilst long, was comfortable and our guide Grainne was incredibly knowledgeable.

Worst paid tour ever!!

, Jun 2022
This is the worst tour ever!! Please be careful there is not guidance from the guide/bus driver (same person) at any time, actually he seemed to be bored when talking. When ever we made a stop in a place he just left us there with no explanation or advise of any kind so far, I always needed to ask basic stuff from a tour such as, meeting point or times and must say he didn’t even seemed approachable. Places where beautiful though, however, you also pay for the tour to get to know more about the places you are visiting and definitely this was not the case we didn’t get pretty much anything. No worth the money, look for a different alternative because this was a very disappointing experience.

Another bad tour. I’m done with Viator. We had a bus driver no tour guide. I’ve done this trip before with a guide and it’s very informative. Our driver was a nice guy but nit guide. Then….we get to lunch & it was gross, pic attached. $50 for two bowls of prison food a Gennuis & Baileys hot chocolate. Then we get to Giants Causeway & we’re nit told ANYTHING!! Other people have listening devices, we weren’t told they were available. We walk downhill about 1 1/4 mile. There’s a bud that goes back up hill but you must have a pound to pay fir the bus, again we weren’t told. On the way to Bellfast we find out the black taxis only take cash, again we weren’t told. Our driver stood off in Belfast with NO suggestions as to what to do. He didn’t even give us a time to meet. Our driver was a nice guy but he seemed overwhelmed. I asked how many days he works he says 6 days a week. This is DANGEROUS and asking too much. Probably against many laws.

Karl was phenomenal! Highly recommend the trip up to Belfast & Giants Causeway. Be prepared for the treck up to Northern Ireland but it you have Karl as your driver, the ride was great. Major props to his driving skills, I could drive such a large bus on the tiny roads.

Frustrating and infuriating

The Irish day tours guide and bus DID NOT turn up. It was very frustrating and no Information. There was a group of us left standing who had paid for the tour. Very disappointing. Apparently this happens a lot with Irish day tours

Our tour guide Darren, was thoroughly entertaining with his witty humor, tour and historical info. We had so much fun. If you go with a tour, make sure it's with Paddy Wagon!!

Take the trip on another tour company
Amy_M
, Apr 2022
I would recommend the trip but with a different tour company. Our tour guide was rushing us through, which I understand it's a fast day, but he had a Zoom meeting at 8pm and was rushing to get back. When we got to Giant's Causeway, he asked us if we knew the legend and when we said no, he said to google it. I thought he was kidding but he wasn't. He forgot to contact the black taxi driver in Belfast and seemed angry that we still wanted to do it. It was the first time that I've been on a tour bus that stopped to fuel up at a rest stop. It seemed like it was not well coordinated and it was a stand in guide. He didn't add much to the trip. It was a great tour though, Ireland's beauty made up for the sketchy guide. The driver was safe and we got us where we wanted to go. We laughed it off, I've learned that things can go sideways when you travel but it makes for an interesting part of journey.

Means of transport rather than a guided tour
Nerec_L
, Apr 2022
Our driver was stopping for 15 min at least every hour. Apart from lunch i dont think he was able to stick to any timeline he stated and he kept askkng evryone to be on time and then kept stopping and spending another 10 min to take off. When you're pressed for time, not sure why they would spend 45 min for lunch, it's way easier to just ask people to pickup food from many many stops and just stop for a short break. There was no schedule given at the beginning but you wouldn't be able to stick to it anyway :) We were supposed to be back at 730 pm and was barely back at 830. Also don't expect this to be a guided tour, it's more of a way of transport. There's almost no information given to what the next stops is, when you're going to arrive there or what it is about. So if you know from the start that's what it is then it can be enjoyable The coach was ok, there was no wifi although advertised, it was either too hot or too cold or the driver was not able to see through steamed windows. Although it's not included in the tour, I purchased the extra taxi tour for Belfast, it was the best experience in the tour. Would highly recommend So all in all manage your expectations and you would just as well enjoy it☺️

Good tour
Kaela_M
, Apr 2022
Our bus was late due to a dead battery. (That is not under anyone’s control and did not bother my husband or I, however I did notice some who grew weary). Our tour guide was good. Very casual tour. We did everything on the tour but not necessarily in that order. The place they take you for lunch was very good but a bit on the pricy side. Giants causeway was AMAZING! I did enjoy our guide and the tour, however, I wish I had chosen a tour that spent more time at giants causeway as that was the most amazing part! They did spend a fair amount of time there (1.5hr) but it was just so beautiful and you need to walk down a significant hill and back up so a little more time to take in the view and beautiful geography would have been nice. Again, the tour was nice and after being on a few it’s more a matter of picking how you would like to spend your time.

More time in Belfast needed
Tracey_C

The Causeway was amazing. Wish we would've had more time in Belfast. Didn't even have time to take a tour of the city. Belfast turned into eat and leave.
